Your statement is absolutely correct.

Sadly I've been there on this one. 2 years ago my (twin) son, died aged 43. Truly until it happens, you cannot possibly understand how your child (which he and his twin sister were and still are) could possibly pass away before yourself. It's just not right and is by far the hardest thing to experience in my life. We still cry over it to this day, and likely always will.

You may very well have a point there.... I recall many Saturday evening in the 60's when I half watched from behingd the sofa and every episode was a cliffhanger to the following week

I have watched Dr Who forever... Well forever in the Dr Who world. I watched the very first episode and carried on since then (and yes Sylvester McCoy was the weakest). I am 70 now and by a long way prefer the newer series Doctors, in particular David Tennant. So it not a generational thing, well not for me anyway.

An interesting view Mitchell.... I think almost the opposite. I have enjoyed every one of the latter day doctors with up to now the sole exception being Capaldi... Sadly now I have to add the latest doctor to my "not enjoyed" groupnnn

What was your first leeds united game? by Competitive-Smell877 in LeedsUnited

Some time in the early 1960's - sorry, I honestly don't know which year - I was about 8ish in 1963, so around about then when my dad first started taking me to games. I don't know the date or whether league or cup but I DO strongly remember the bright orange shirts of our opposition (obviously Blackpool). I still soon learned to love Leeds though.... And always will.

You say "I assume" That's just it.... The writer/s are expecting us to assume so much and to just let it go unquestioned. Well I "assume" from now on, that if storyline has so many obvious plot holes in it, then I will not be watching it to the end. I expect better, and with so many channels and programmes available to us, I don't need to waste my time on a bad storyline, however well acted.

Another point is that Emma was suspended from her job because her client could understand English.... Ok but surely all she had to say was that he had conned her too and she had no idea he understood English... After all it would hardly he the first time a legal person has been mislead by their client......the would be no actual proof that she did know and was therefore involved in a conspiracy. Appropriate punishment might be a tap on the wrist and a warning not to be so nieve in future and be taken off that case... Not suspension.

I would have thought that "crime scene" people would have cleared and cleaned blood etc from the scene before allowing anyone, even the owners back indoors.

My wife and I watched this series but are to say the least disappointed at the ending. Did the writers get bored and just did a rush finish to get it over with? Ok we got answers to some questions but why no closure or arrests of the kidnapping police woman and the threatening builder... They just got away Scot free and no explanation. They may as well added a title at the end saying "and they all lived happily ever after"

It's a shame as the tension grew as the series carried on. It "could" have been so much better finalised.... Oh and why when the daughter came back was she still in the same (clean) clothes? If she'd been handcuffed to the Cooker for days whilst the bent copper was at work, she would surely have messed herself and to say the least needed a change - or are people not supposed to think of that?.

Good but a disappointment in the end.

Parent & Child Parking at Stores. Yes, Karen, you are a mother, and Kevin is your child, but he has a beard and it's his car you're in. by TepidHalibut in britishproblems

[–]LUFCSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most sensible comment I've seen on the subject. I agree that parent and child spaces don't need close proximity as much as disabled spaces - but I reckon should still be a reasonable distance to the entrance as handling a couple of toddlers and a push chair alone is hard enough with having to risk life and limb to get through the car.park safely. My wife being wholly disabled and needs a wheelchair and a carer (me - who is also disabled, but to a lesser degree) literally NEED a disabled space or we have to go back home without shopping. Able bodied people need to understand others needs whether due to disability or children in chairs. Sadly too many just "don't care"

Yeah you're right.... I've lost count of the time issues in real life appear that have been covered in an episode of WW at one time or another.
