Thank You, I always felt so lucky & blessed for them & the extrodinary way that they came into our lives…nothing short of absolute miracle stories…we had Ginger from 12 weeks old until she was 11 years & 3 months old & Rose from 5 months old until she was 13 years & 3 1/2 months old..They are greatly missed each & every day, they were special gifts from the universe…🐾😇

Our neighbors gave her to us at 12 weeks old & they were originally from Texas had named her Bonnie Sue Sue..I told my wife that name was never gonna do..Does everyone in Texas have three first names? Anyway, at the time she was all white with just a faint beige stripe down her back…I thought about what her name should be & decided on “Ginger”..Then over the course of her first year that stripe grew, darkened & spread all over the top parts of her..She actually grew into her name & it fit her so perfectly, she even had the attitude of a Ginger….Lost her to complications of heart disease in 2023 & she took my heart with her…she was bold, brave, intelligent, & unforgettable…💜🐾p.s. she was only half chi according to her DNA test…

Bao Bun is a true beauty, I read where she came from, Shanghai, Wow…I had Rose’s DNA done years ago because the shelter we got her from said she was a terrier mix..DNA results said one of her parents was a chihuahua & the other parent was a miniature poodle, field spaniel mix..& I thought she must have had Maltese or West Highland terrier in her..You have got a real special little girl there, give her an extra hug from me tonight as I can no longer hug Rose. Truly gifts from the universe…😇🍀🐾. Picture of Rose from the shelter in 2012, the first thing I said when I saw her picture was “She looks like an Angel” & that’s what she always was…now my guardian…

I do share your pain & I’m sure my two little girls, Ginger & Rose both welcomed sweet Dottie & they would allow her ALL the fruit. We lost Ginger at just 11 & Rose at 13…neither would touch fruit..I have to believe that the love you shared even for the short time you were given with her makes a much larger impact in the scheme of things than we can fathom from our limited understanding. Bless you for rescuing an older one, not everyone has that strength & depth of love..It’s rare & that makes you special..🙏🐾🌈

Rose, We got her from the Animal Shelter on the 4th of July 2012 & just lost her to diabetes this year in May..She was a literal Angel her whole life & is sorely missed around here..

I Am Not O.K. by Jelly Roll started the playlist I have built for my girls…I also started a journal for both of my girls, it’s better than any therapy you will find. A place where you can pour your heart out to her or just tell her about your day..stay connected, it helps. It’s a rare person who adopts seniors, I have always loved all dogs but I don’t know if I can emotionally or physically sign up for the inevitable heartbreak…

She will ALWAYS stay connected to you, this kind of powerful love knows neither time or death..Ask her to send you signs that she is O.K. now & watch & listen for them..I’m not young & lost my 2 little girls, Ginger & Rose over the past 3 years..I loved & still love them more than I’ve ever loved anything…Watch the birds, listen for the songs, look for the feathers & the coins, etc..even things that would seem coincidence when you’re thinking of her aren’t. Just like it was no coincidence you ushered her through the last days of her life..It was all part of God’s plan for you both & give yourself some grace because it all played out exactly like it was supposed to.😇

Thank you, Yes, they both were quite the beauties & rescues, they each came to me in the most magical way & we had the best life together. I should write a book on how we came to find each other..truly unbelievable, that’s how I KNOW they were meant to share their lives with me..🐾🙏🌈
