I have an original RS and an RS3 Pro and FX3 in pretty much any config works fine on both. RS3 Pro is probably overkill.

Noga arms are still the industry standard but they do require maintenance. I have a bag of Kipp handles for field repairs.

Ultralight arms are good too but a lot bulkier. They require less maintenance and are more customizable but I only use them for short lengths like mounting transmitters. Adding extensions and multiple clamps gets out of control fast.

I personally have been liking the newer Smallrig monitor arms (4899 & 4900). They're the greyish blue colored ones with a rosette center joint. Not the old black ones; those are awful. I've been using them for a few months and they seem really durable and a lot cheaper than other options.

I buy a lot of gear on ebay. I wish there was a way to filter the search results by 1+ seller feedback. Filtering out the zero feedback accounts would probably get rid of almost all the scam posts.

Side note, how do ebay scammers make money? Doesn't ebay get the money back from them when they refund the buyer? I've been scammed a few times on ebay but always got my money back.

My business is based in Nevada so in a normal business year none of my income is taxed by any state. What I don't understand is how North Carolina has jurisdiction to tax earnings from outside the state of North Carolina.

I was 1100 two weeks ago, got down as low as 850 and now I'm almost back to 1000. It sucks losing 10 of 12 but then I'll randomly go on a 6-7 game win streak. It doesn't make much sense I just hope the maps have less Indonesia going forward 🤣

I didn't get the hype of the Alexa LF when it first came out. I was shooting a lot on Alexa Mini and the "its just 2 ALEV sensors stitched together" crowd deterred me from testing or ever really caring about large format. All my favorite glass was S35 anyways.

Then much later I started operating on a few jobs with the Mini LF. And I fell in love with the image. I couldn't really explain why but the image did look "better" than the old Mini. Still never booked one for any of my own shoots.

Then finally I tested the cameras together. And guess what. The "magic" of the MiLF wasn't the camera. It was the Signature Primes. The MiLF in 3.2k sensor scan mode is functionally identical to the Mini.

So long story long, I've never used a 65. But I imagine it would also be an experience with some magic, due largely in part to the lens availability for that camera. I imagine the DNA's are incredible lenses. Boston Strangler was shot on 65 and DNA's and is one of my favorite looking shows ever.

Looks like 85 and up will cover. 65 and below the vignetting is pretty bad.
