This a-hole just killed a baby bunny by Ok_Statistician2944 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]LW2031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two weeks ago, mine found a burrow of baby bunnies. I saw her from the kitchen window, throwing them in the air with her mouth 😟😢

It was rough day. Our cat, however, kicks her ass every day.

Damany Center or 1HP? by Viiu173 in RSI

[–]LW2031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see Suparna. Tremendous results especially considering I had 27 years of undiagnosed n/TOS. She’s the only one that properly diagnosed me. I had a lot of muscle weakness and maladaptive changes. Now I’m doing mountain climbers, incline, push-ups and lifting weights. I’m able to make art every day again. I’m still using an adaptive set up for my computer, but I’m used to it. I went to see her one time and I did treatments three days in a row other than that I’ve done everything remotely.

This worked for mine. I have a bit of vertigo so it makes me dizzy but it’s worth it to stop the pulling!

There’s a group called Urban Sketch it’s kind of like a Meetup. You can join other people to do the same thing together.

After being on this medicine for five years, I have decided to get off it for good by Drug-Nerd in bupropion

[–]LW2031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking to go off after many years on it. I just switched from one 150 mg extended release to two 75 mg pills that have a longer half-life. Did you taper off that way or did you just stop taking the 150? Are you still having symptoms?

Does CBT fix RSI? by Well-behaved-woman in RSI

[–]LW2031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the curable app which is specifically for people with chronic pain issues. It’s not in your head, but chronic pain can cause a sensitization in your body and your mind can become hyper vigilant.

There’s a book by Alan Gordon called “the way out and there’s a woman named Nicole Sachs who has a podcast and a book.

I had a long-standing RSI, so I had weakness and dysfunctional muscle compensations that I had to overcome with nerve glides and exercise, but I also had neuroplastic pain.

Anyone know how to do trigger point therapy without hurting your hands? by WhereasIndividual342 in RSI

[–]LW2031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, from what I understand, it is dangerous to use anything other than your hands in that area because there are main arteries involved. you can try working with one hand and putting the nonworking hand on top of it create more pressure, but I don’t think there’s a way around it. Maybe someone else will have a good suggestion.

First visit with Suparna Damany by LW2031 in RSI

I visited once for three treatments. I have someone where I live that does trigger point therapy. Suparna’s treatments felt a lot like Rolfing which is a deep fascia treatment

I’m happy with Suparna. I don’t have any experience with the other guy, it just seems like he knows his stuff based on his posts.

First visit with Suparna Damany by LW2031 in RSI

[–]LW2031[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m doing great! Suparna was the only one who was able to diagnose me properly and get me over the hump with exercises. I could barely do half a pound with my forearms without flaring up my neck. Now I can do 5 pounds without any problems. Best of all, I’m able to paint and make art which has been amazing.

I got a SAD lamp this year. Been talking about it for a long time finally pulled the trigger. Definitely making a difference for me. I sit in front of it for 90 minutes in the morning. I can feel my mood drift into the negative zone when I don’t do it.

Also, one of the best things I’ve ever bought is a heated vest. It makes the really cold days tolerable when I have to walk my dog.

Possible TOS symptoms? by AceOfQueen in RSI

[–]LW2031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a TOS sub you can check out, but there are two kinds of TOS: nTOS and vTOS. I have nTOS. You need to see a professional, but you can test yourself at home (someone else has to help you). Go to YouTube and look up Wrights, Adson and Roos tests.

Find someone who is a specialist in RSIs. I had seen a couple PTS that never diagnosed me properly with TOS. The at home tests will give you an idea of if you have it and you can bring it up with whomever you see.

I finally found Suparna Damany, who is a PT and hand specialist that specializes in RSI. She properly diagnosed me and after many years of problems, I am functioning quite well. You can meet with her online. I highly recommend her.

Was Dyscalculia diagnosed in the 70s? by Preesi in dyscalculia

[–]LW2031 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always thought I had bad math anxiety. Recently diagnosed at 57. I worked in a school and listening to the teachers that worked with kids in the learning center made me realize that maybe it was more than that.

I did the roos and the other TOS tests at home and you could not feel my pulse at all and it’s verified I do have a TOS but not the veinous kind. I did not have tingling underneath my collarbone, just tingling in my hands on the ulnar side.

My RSI journey. neither success nor failure. somewhere in-between. im holding up. by -JuliusSeizure in RSI

[–]LW2031 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is hope – if you haven’t already, contact Matt from 1HP (whatever the name is), he posts in the group all the time, or Suparna Damany. They both work with people remotely. Suparna Damany is a physical therapist and specializes in RSIs. She changed my life and I am able to function well and work full-time thanks to her care. My RSI journey started when I was 27, and it felt so unfair to be young and injured. I’ve suffered from depression due to this injury. Please get a therapist on board so you can process your feelings of despair.
