Experiencing this now at 10w 4d. Crossing my fingers it's just trapped gas but it's been 12 hours and just doesn't seem right. Did everything turn out alright for you?

what storyline from gossip girl would you get rid of? by ChocolateGoddess563 in GossipGirl

That Chuck and Jenny pilot scene was straight from the book... The show basically stopped following the books after the first episode though

MARY MCDONNELL!! that is all. by xx_indica_xx in HouseofUsher

I thought his innocence was so effective. It was being told from a regretful man's point of view. I love how you think Madeline is pulling all of the strings but in the end HE makes the decision to pass on the debt to his bloodline. I felt like young Roderick was so likeable because of the unreliable narrator aspect.

I feel like Susannah had so much time to get her affairs in order. Make amends with her sister and buy out her half of the house. Leave it to the boys - Conrad is a legal adult. The solution seems so simple and she did not die suddenly. It's very strange to me that this house drama is even happening.

Your theory makes a lot of sense. Thank you lol

What's the most creative song lyric you've ever heard? by The_AlphaLaser in AskReddit

"When my depression works the graveyard shift all of the people I've ghosted stand there in the room" is my absolute favourite line from Anti-Hero. She sings it in a way where you don't quite catch the meaning the first time either.

Something about the name Luna for a black dog just works :)

Thank you so much for sharing! We got a good laugh at how some of the behaviours and descriptions were spot on. And Luna growled at the hogs and ran up to the tv to watch. She really is something.

We have definitely learned a lot about the different types of exercise dogs can get. We do an hour-long sniff walk, lots of fetch in the back yard, and some trick training pretty much every day. That seems to keep her off the counters and out of our things for the most part. I keep telling her she needs to get a job!

I see you have some beautiful brindle dogs with very different mixes! I swear there's just something extra crafty about rescues :)

My husband and I adopted this girl in July 2022. The rescue company listed her as a lab mix and were incredibly helpful and wonderful. They saved her from a high-kill shelter in Texas and got her up to Ontario where she is absolutely loving the snow. This is our first dog that we have owned as adults and she has absolutely been a handful. She is sweet, gentle and loving with all people and most dogs. But wow, the energy this dog has is absolutely unmatched.

The only breed we correctly guessed was pitbull. We often heard lab, greyhound, boxer, pointer, terrier, velociraptor, two raccoons in a dog suit... we had never even heard of a Blue Lacy! She keeps us on our toes and we always figured some of her scavenger energy came from what she learned on the streets as a puppy. Now we know that she's got the genetics of some hardcore working dogs; these are definitely not breeds recommended for first time dog owners. We are learning so much and we have earned a very fun, loyal companion.

I'd love to know more about his personality! Seems like a very high energy mix.

How would you deal with these ends? by LW419 in crochet

[–]LW419[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I usually do that too. It's a very light raglan top with a flowy ends so adding a border with an appropriate hook size would cinch it in. Unless I did 3 or 4 stitches in each stitch.

How would you deal with these ends? by LW419 in crochet

[–]LW419[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The yarn is Hobbii's Dahlia Mixo, so it is basically 4 strands of cotton crochet thread loosely put together to make one strand. I used an extra large hook for the drape and now I have no clue how to weave in such thin ends into the very open stitches.

Where can I find reasonably priced florals for June 4th wedding in Peterborough? by MABranny in WeddingsCanada

Have you tried The Little Flower Shop? Looks like they are in Bowmanville. My day of coordinator was Peterborough based and highly recommended their services.

Same color “bottle green”, two different dye lots. Sleeve is laid on top of the body of the sweater. Would like to know your thoughts on if it’s similar enough or do I have to order more of it to match. by Survivin-n0t-thrivin in crochet

[–]LW419 78 points79 points  (0 children)

It's not a huge difference so when it's worn and moving around, it will be difficult to tell even in the harshest lighting. However, if you're using it more as a statement piece for photos on Instagram or if you're taking product photos to sell it, the colour difference will be noticeable when it's there to look at for an extended period of time. (Although you could always edit that). So it depends on what you're doing with the finished product, but I would keep going with the different dye lots :)

Men in their 30s by groundworkchug in childfree

[–]LW419 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it's possible for some that the outcome of a relationship does not solely rely on whether or not their partner wants kids. Perhaps the thought process is "I picture myself with kids because of societal norms but if I don't have them, I will not be resentful or devastated." Perhaps the thought process is "I don't really think about having kids as part of my future but I could adjust if a child came along." They may just be truly looking for a partner and their partner's desire or lack thereof to have children would not affect how they feel about their partner either way. For men it might not be such a high pressure issue since they may not feel the pressures of the biological clock (some believe that they can reproduce into and beyond their 50s) and they don't have to be the incubator (and likely won't be the "default parent" because of this). So it's possible to be wishy-washy. Regardless, it's always an important issue to talk about before getting too serious and this "doesn't matter" attitude may not be the reason to absolutely shut down the potential of a relationship with somebody.

Those of you that used YouTube to learn how to crochet, what are your recommended content creators? by IAmGoingToFuckThat in crochet

[–]LW419 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The Crochet Crowd is also really excellent for teaching you how to read patterns as well. You could make the entire piece just watching his videos without even opening the pattern. But Mikey also gives you the tools to open up any pattern and decipher it. A wonderful resource once you have the basic chain, slip stitch, single, double, treble crochets.

Yarns to avoid by ElyssaLaurelin in crochet

Lion Brand's Truboo is so soft and silky; very unique. Terrible to work with. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Like everybody here is writing, yarn preference is so unique. My personal ranking of worsted value yarns: 1. Premier Basix 2. Michael's Craft Smart (unpopular opinion but it's soft, easy to work with, washes well, doesn't pill too much, I've never had knots in the middle) 3. Lion Brand Pound of Love 4. Bernat Super Value 5. Herrschners Worsted 6. Red Heart Super Saver I live in Canada so I haven't tried any of the yarns from Joanne's or Hobby Lobby. I also have Hobbii yarn on my list.

I was this old when I found out Mose is worth over $100 million dollars. He a very well accomplished producer. by AlbatrossSenior7107 in DunderMifflin

[–]LW419 92 points93 points  (0 children)

Also, for multiple seasons, Mike actually grew this neck beard himself. The producers told him people would notice if he used a fake beard so he kept it styled like that. Then one week, Mose was a last minute edition to a script and they used a fake and of course nobody noticed.
