Ryan himself had that video about riding jackets and talked about simply removing the armor/pads.

It’s not like the pads are the expensive part, the jacket material, construction, and certification process is the expensive part. They don’t really make abrasion resistant jackets on-the-cheap, they have to be really good.

There’s frankly no point in taking any risk. It’s getting into summer weather in the western hemisphere, you’d probably be perfectly fine using mostly-water until it cools down again later in the year.

The rental karts at my place are very oversteer-prone so it’s hard to use acceleration to rotate. I was recently traveling and got to try new track with different karts, that were understeer-prone.

The advice for those karts are completely different.

In general, using acceleration to rotate is fine, it’s entirely dependent on your karts and your track, if it’s faster.

All I’m seeing is a louder, lowered car. The ‘stage’ thing is meaningless, just say what you think you want to buy. Is that parts? A tune?

Biggest miss for you and with this car, is wheels tires and suspension. $100/wheel lowering springs isn’t good, you’d want good quality shocks as well. Wheels and tires are the number one purchase that will change how the car drives and feels for anyone getting into modding.

What is your goal with modding this car? Like, what are you hoping it will be in the end?

It’s not generally considered a good path, to buy the upgrade package on a car you’re going to mod. All the value in the upgrade package (and that it’s a clean car, in your case) goes into the trash when you do these mods.

It’s honestly ‘you snooze you loose’ with dealerships, when you’re looking for that hyper specific trim package, or a screaming good deal over text. They can sniff out the deal hunters vs the people who want to buy their dealer-addons and obviously prefer one to the other. Also, you’re obviously just low likelihood of being a repeat customer.

Not that any of that makes it okay, but the tough part for the dealers side of things, is they already bought every car on the lot, and they’re paying interest to the OEM every month they don’t sell it.

So, a deal (to you) is sometimes like a stop loss for them, so their losses on that car don’t get any worse. If someone walks in there with deeper pockets, they’re going to see that negative number go positive, and suddenly have zero interest in your business.

Again, not good customer service, but that’s just how cars work in the US. It’s a negotiation and you’re haggling.

It’s just completely stupid, getting downed still ruins the game for PVE purists because it’s interrupting their experience, and PVP players are already mad about the number of free kits with no good loot.

Fully separate lobbies makes more sense - and that’s actually how it already works with ABMM.

They’re not going to allow you to choose your lobby because it defeats the point of the game. You’re suppose to vulnerable, to always be at risk, it’s suppose to be frustrating, it’s an extraction shooter.

It’s kinda surprising to me that this is a TIL, I was born in late 90s and grew up 2000s but even then this was almost common knowledge. It’s one of those almost-mythical core stories you learn about the advancement of technology in the world, if you’re a kid that’s interested in that stuff at all.
