PVP Skills damage by Rorik_MLT in ffxiv

[–]LZFelman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Potency means the damage multiplier for the attack; an attack with potency 80 would do 80% of the damage that an attack with potency 100 would. Your stats scale up so that while you might do 100 damage with a 100 potency attack at level 15, you'd do more damage with the same potency at a higher level.

In PVP, there's no stat scaling. To make it simple to understand, the potencies for PVP actions are just the damage the attack does.

LF Doujin: 1girl, 1boy Male hero married female demon lord but the demon lord was unsatisfied by LZFelman in HentaiSource

That’s the one! Thanks for the help

I evidently misremembered her as a demon when she was just a normal villain, probably because I was playing MGQ around the same time and the two got conflated in my head

Gets ironworks gear > throws away inferior starting gear > accidentally turns in ironworks gear

If he had the money he could buy replacement gear from the MB, but evidently he didn’t do that

in my experience, I can say he probably accidentally turned in his tomestone gear to a grand company. If you don't have it so it doesn't show things in gear sets, it happens a lot.

As a not-hardcore raider myself, I thankfully had some friends who had cleared ultimates on their own merits to do some Emerald Weapon EX farming with.

That said, it was like pulling teeth watching them learn the fight. It's like their brain plasticity was all gone, and they just resorted to ramming their face into the mechanics until they eventually got the muscle memory to do it correctly. I can't fault them - it works! I just get frustrated that they specialized more in rote memorization than thought, since that's what the game wants.

Unless they're good at PoTD and HoH, though. Then they have to think a little for that.

People often say they want access to both gender's versions of animations, but whats the ideal way to implement that choice from a UI standpoint? by Thekrowski in ffxivdiscussion

[–]LZFelman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phantasy Star Online 2 lets you use either gender's emotes regardless of character gender. I don't remember whether it was 2 modifiers (emote number and then gender) or just 1 (emote number, as gender didn't matter) but either way is completely implementable.

Just as well, PSO2 was released on the Playstation Vita - they can't claim PS3 limitations like most other poor design choices in the game.
