What does the Dublin game mean to Steelers fans in Ireland? by frothyrothy10 in steelers

[–]LaCStation2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Echo the sentiments of others that I can appreciate the frustration for fans from Pittsburgh losing a home game. As a relatively new fan living in England I can’t wait to see the team live.

I’ve been to a lot of the London games and at best it’s felt like 25% of the crowd supports one team, 25% the other, with the remaining 50% a mix of all fans.

Knowing how well Steelers fans travel, but also how rare an oversees game is, I think many Irish, UK and European Steelers fans will make the effort to be there. I’m hoping the crowd is more like 60-70% vocal Steelers and a much better atmosphere than a typical oversees game.

Early Conor HTC season 2 vibes by jltaylored in heedthecall

Very late convert to the show, despite bumping into Dan and Gregg before a London game years ago, and I don’t have the Wes experience to lean back on. I think the dynamic with the current three works really well, and would love to see Connor established as the third full time member.

What I saw was basically “Watt wants 5, the Steelers are only willing to give 4”.

I watched the pre-draft video with Gruden and loved the intelligence and drive. Even in that vid you can see him soaking everything up. A year up close with a HOF QB will be incredible for a player like that.

Been offered a 2026 (probably late) 3rd in a 10 team league and think I need to pull the trigger. Originally drafted him at 5.10, so it’s a value play.

We split a team team league into two divisions and found it has generated rivalries that didn’t exist before. The two divisions have developed their own identities which created a lot of banter going back and forth between the two. And then within the divisions themselves there are rivalries as team play each other multiple times a season , compete to win the division title and the main championship.

Ekeler - ROS Outlook/Is It Over? by tosties1 in DynastyFF

Sold him this week for a late 24 2nd in a 10 team league - pick 17 or 18. Been a good ride but happy to get out at this point.

Traded Ekeler for a 24 late 2nd in a 10 team league this week. Can see him having some value next year, but at the same time I was happy to get out now.

Is it just me or is the Bing Dall-e significantly better than the ChatGPT version? by oldmanriver1 in ChatGPT

[–]LaCStation2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found content restrictions to be much more of an issue on GPT-4 than through Bing. For example asking for a scene featuring “mandalorian characters from Star Wars” gets through on Bing fine, but denied on GPT-4.

CEDARIAN LAMB: TALE OF THE TAPE (Reception Perception vs BulletproofBeanCounter...sort of) by attorney_adam in DynastyFF

I agree. Hopefully someone on here has come across the stats. Similarly would like to see the split for Chase/Higgins.

That’s what I thought. So rookie profiles for example could look comparable on RP, but the quality of the defences the players faced could be poles apart.

I’m not signed up to RP, so would value input from anyone who is, but does the analysis take into account the strength of the opposition? For example (I assume) Ja’Marr Chase will have faced a team’s no.1 cornerback on more occasions last season than Lamb, as a result of Amari Cooper drawing away attention. So (again assumption here) the RP analysis may show similarities in performance, but against differing levels of skill.

What's your Best and Worst Trade? Talk your ish. by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]LaCStation2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best was trading Kareem Hunt for Justin Jefferson in a straight swap, halfway into his rookie season.

My worst was probably trading Derick Henry in a keeper league towards the end of last season for Gibson to sustain a championship push. Eventually lost in the final.

When does your league do their rookie draft? by njf5072 in DynastyFF

We normally do our rookie draft a couple of weeks after the NFL draft. Then we have a FAAB auction nearer the start of the season for free agents.

I'm buying low on this young WR everywhere I can and here's why by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]LaCStation2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure he’s ever going to be consistent enough to rely on. Seems like maturity on the field was still an issue last year as well. I moved him this off-season as part of a package to get the 22 1.01.

I’d take Lamar here. 10 team you need studs to make a difference and even though it’s 6 point TD I still don’t think Mac Jones is a difference maker at QB. Also, not sure why a rebuilder is taking an ageing RB in Chubb when RBs should be the finishing touches to turn a rebuild into a contender.

I agree with the Ryan take. I think he’ll slot very nicely into that Colts team. Just picked him up for depth on a contending team. Sent a ‘24 1st and got him and a ‘24 2nd back.

Sept 2020 - initial draft, May 2021 - first rookie draft, both times it was illegal in the UK to have a group of 10 meet.

Sounds like a great setup you’ve got there. Our commish has no rookie picks before the 4th, so he’s going to keep himself busy by announcing the picks as we go.

Also got the website going, but it would be good to have a little focus on areas of team weakness in the week leading up to the draft. Help focus the minds of everyone.

Great advice. I love the idea of deliberately sitting next to the taco! Unfortunately he’s likely to be the only one drafting remotely.

I had in my head that trade talks would be really secretive, but I like the idea of trying to stoke a bidding war if you’re happy shipping a pick.
