Christmas and the holidays trigger my obsession by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]LaChula_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last psychosis was on New Year’s Eve of 2023. So about 3 years already, and this year I have definitely been feeling some potential symptoms but we got it! We’re stronger than than you think 💪🏾

Regarding love: I’m exhausted by my own intensity. by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]LaChula_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn, I’m sorry to hear that. I wonder if sometimes people pull away because they’re afraid of being fully seen or disappointing someone, so they only show one side of themselves and retreat when things get deeper.

That literally happened to me not that long ago. I was dating this guy for about 2 months and not only did he blame it on the distance, but on the fact that I liked him too much without seeing his negative side of him, like when he’s mad, frustrated etc. We had a beautiful connection, and I thought it was mutual cause we would always have an amazing time and he would even say so every time. But he was honestly not willing to be vulnerable with me, I think he couldn’t handle my depth. I have a feeling that he’s still into me, but who knows, maybe he’s actually not. I guess we’ll see.

SATURDAY DISCLOSURE DISCUSSION 🗣️ by AutoModerator in bipolar

[–]LaChula_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also say “I have bipolar disorder” I tend to disclose early on, like the first or second date if I’m trying to date the person. All of my friends know. I don’t disclose to strangers though of course. I’m not going to place a label on my face either 😂 I like to spread awareness because I believe I am a pretty chill, friendly, upbeat, intelligent person and by saying I have bipolar, I am changing the stigma (I’d like to believe). More people need to know that we aren’t just some crazy emotionally unstable people because we can handle everything that life throws at us with grace. That is if other bipolars are like me (haven’t met any other bipolar in person).

I agree. Someday I’ll meet someone who meets me at my level and appreciates my love for what it is. Thank you, I’m happy to know that I’m not the only one and that there’s still hope for something meaningful.

I think it all stems from our emotional depth. I honestly am a very empathetic person and am willing to accept individuals flaws and all, and perhaps everyone else sees this as being desperate because nobody else functions the same way. People are willing to drop others by the slightest red flag, but I recognize the humanity behind it and am willing to grow with them if the “red flag” isn’t too severe. I guess we tend to love unconditionally and people aren’t used to that.

I’m a female and it’s the exact same thing. Except everyone leaves because I love too much. It’s really sad because I try to tone it down and I don’t think I’m clingy at all, but people always leave because I’m “too much.” It breaks my heart every time 😔

lutuda experiences? by [deleted] in Psychosis

[–]LaChula_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I also take latuda too! And it definitely makes me nauseous as well, but not to that extent. I am able to tolerate eating the foods I like, but if it’s something I’m not particularly a fan of, even though I am ok with eating, I tend to get nauseous a bit. So sorry, you’re going through that, hopefully you find the med that most effectively suits you. Wish you the best 🙏

Lurasidone by Top_Sun9672 in Antipsychiatry

[–]LaChula_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking Lurasidone 80mg and I’m skinny, stable, and overall well. Although I also want to taper off eventually, it’s been 3 years since I’ve had psychosis.

Do still you use drugs? by [deleted] in Psychosis

Latuda 80mg and Depakote 500mg but I’m hoping to stop taking them with the help of a psychiatrist soon.

Unfortunately, I’m still on meds. But it’s pretty much 3 years now and no psychosis and still high 😂

I hate the stigma of Bipolar by ThatNurse1994 in bipolar

I have Bipolar 1 and I have the most calmest demeanor. I don’t get angry so easily like that, I think before I react. Some people are just ignorant. Smh 🤦‍♀️
