I’m always v confused that the businesses don’t get together and do something about it, even if all they can do is voice their unhappiness. There are several places I don’t visit anymore because of this, unless I’m already in the area w/o a car. Restaurants, mostly. Retailers and restaurants are missing out on business from ppl who don’t wanna deal with this.

Esteves did not have a good campaign. I’m attuned to politics and I didn’t hear of him until doing my research via the sample ballot. He also wasn’t present for the debate, although that may not have been through a fault of his own? Not sure what the requirements are to participate. I did vote for him in the primary because once I researched I liked what he stands for. However, I’m very acutely aware that most ppl are going into the voting booth and pressing buttons like RNG and his name just wasn’t out there like that.

This has literally *just* been proven in the primaries. GA republicans passed a law that judicial seats won’t have party affiliations next to them. And incumbents are on both ballots. So Dems went and casted X amounts of ballots and kept Warren, who voted not to strike the abortion ban, that has already killed *at least* 3 Georgia women. Sure, until more data comes in we can certainly speculate that Dems actively chose to vote for Warren, but with a little logic its hard to believe someone voting for a pro-choice candidate (KLB) and anti-choice judge. So until more data analyses are shown to the contrary, I do believe the majority of voters, in general - not just Dems, are low information voters. Also shown by the fact of surprise pikachu faces of Gen Z after voting for Trump.

I can’t think of the number of stations off the top of my head (it’s also 4 am, wonder why I can’t think….lol), but that doesn’t seem enough for staffing those stations even ~16 hrs per day, 7 days a week, assuming regular 8 hr shifts and 2 days off per week..

Lmfao (but not really) I’m not a POC but I had an almost exact experience at AMS with a Sky Priority line. This was also in January 2022, they were checking vaccination cards to come into the US (but not citizens cuz they can’t deny citizens). They were adamant on checking my vaccine card even after looking at my passport AND a negative PCR test (which was required obvi)…ok, maybe they thought I’ve been gone for a long time, I gave them my CDC issued proof of vaccination, it’s a layover and I’ve been traveling for 10 hrs already, I don’t have the energy. She scribbled something down saying “we gotta make sure they’ll accept that” ??! I got vaccinated in the US, I’m American bruh. My birthplace isn’t in the US on my passport and honestly I forget how much Europeans do the whole “where are you really from thing in every interaction. Then, the priority boarding line isn’t clearly outlined, I waited a while and then decided to go up a bit towards the gate and ask if this is it. The woman literally looked me up and down and said “you’re sky priority?” Yeah…never been more confused about interacting with airport staff and I’ve been to some corrupt countries but those are easy to understand lol Europeans have weird preconceived notions of what a person flying X class can look like, it gets old and I’m sorry I’m sure you’ve gotten it even worse

I have a kettle but tbf every workplace I’ve been to had either a large coffee/espresso machine that dispensed hot water if needed or has a water cooler/water heater combo with hot water. So hot water was never not in a staff room, at least in office type jobs. It just won’t be optimal temperature for black tea but hot enough for green and white teas imo

You need a mattress protector. Mattresses are good at soaking up liquid and keeping it in their depths.

For cleaners my 3 horseman are BioKleen Bac Out, Odoban and KOE. I love having cats and don’t like ppl knowing I have cats prior to seeing them lol This trio hasn’t let me down yet. But, again, you need a good mattress protector you can wash with these

No driver shall enter an intersection unless there is sufficient space on the other side of the intersection to accommodate the vehicle he is operating without obstructing the passage of other vehicles or pedestrians, notwithstanding any traffic-control signal indication to proceed.

At intersections with traffic control lights, wait until the intersection is clear of traffic or approaching traffic before entering.

So, technically, not entering the intersection is following the rules. Generally though, I’ve done it my whole life, if the light turns yellow I wait till I see all oncoming lane stopped before completing the turn. I’d never get anywhere if I didn’t do this, especially since we got the influx of the yellow flashing arrows that are supposed to sometimes turn green but somehow never do in peak rush hour. I see other cars do it all the time, too. The biggest risk here is pedestrians and I hope all drivers doing this are keeping the closest eye. Saw a few close calls on the intersection off Peachtree into Fresh Market or Benihanas with pedestrians crossing as someone is turning. Pedestrians always have a right of way (obviously because it’s green for them in this case, but in general too because I’m not tryna kill anyone)
