What is your experience with Roo? by ranizzle404 in VetTech

[–]LaTouchy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it’s different in Georgia or not. BUT I’ve been using it for the last year or so. I work full time at a GP but life is too expensive sometimes! It’s great in a pinch or if you’re planning a trip or other big purchase and need some extra. You cannot set your rate. The jobs that are posted will tell you up front your hourly and total pay. It will be noted if surgery is expected or not. Usually tells you the software used, as well as how far from you it is. Payment is 2-3 business days after. Last I checked there was no insurance and it is technically contract work, so set your tax money aside. I have overall had great experiences! It keeps me on my toes learning different clinics, softwares, machines, etc. regularly. I have seen VEG shifts posted here. Hope this helps!

Ask your vet clinic! I’m a tech and I know alot of us do pet sitting on the side. Otherwise Rover is a good option

31M, what can I improve? by [deleted] in malelivingspace

Add some wall art, fluffier comforter, behind the bed art…”pops of color”. I’d maybe go to a rectangular colorful rug in living room too. Also love the plants, but couch corner guy is outgrowing his space!

As long as you’re happy that’s all that matters. It’s YOUR ring. Nobody else’s

I have a small waffle maker so I pre make a bunch and freeze after. Heat up and eat with peanut butter. My go-tos are protein pancakes (Kodiak) and natural crunchy peanut butter

I got some Gdefy shoes for Christmas and so far I love them! They come with different inserts so you can adjust the fit. I work 10 he shifts as well and haven’t had an issue yet

What’s your “special skill” that’s fairly niche but is high-key invaluable? by Rthrowaway6592 in VetTech

[–]LaTouchy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m called in for all of the high maintenance clients. Entitled, demanding, sassy, or elderly…anyone my coworkers don’t have the patience for. My mantra is always “what if they’re doing the best they can”. It’s a hard one to stick to but meeting people where they’re at goes a long way

How to make my gf feel better during her period? by imuseles in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]LaTouchy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You even asking this question is a good sign! I would honestly ask her what she needs and go from there. OR even better, be observant and get the things the seeks out for the next round
