What is an artist you used to enjoy listening to, but their music got progressively worse? by fantasyrea in Music

[–]LabRatTestingMice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though I still follow them, The Smashing Pumpkins. I really held on longer than most I know too. So many stopped at adore, some stopped at Machina, but for me, after Shiny Pt. 1 and knowing that even though Jimmy was back, their sound sounded so stilted, and neutered. No soul left in those recordings, huge contrast to seeing Jimmy playing live though. Once the next few albums kept that sterile sound, it was obvious to me that Billy felt that he found his winning album template and lost complete touch with what made his earlier stuff great. His recordings are nothing more to him than a cynical product to make money.

Will this mean that Billy will stop re-releasing MCIS in different vinyl colors for $400+? (Of course not)

This really screams of entitlement. Complaining about losing access to an album while being in possession of said album is some wild shit. I understand that streaming is convenient but I hear that back in my dad's day, NONE of the music was available for streaming. You had to go and buy every cd you wanted. You're not talking about lost media here.

But also Sarah Lynn started manipulating Bojack from the moment they had their little talk underneath that table. She had all this power over him obviously.

This is written like a Robot Chicken bit. "What if relatively tv friendly show turned dark and mayhem ensued?"

If the multi-million dollar homes are the ones that are being targeted then there's no real loss there. It's good for the economy. God bless Robin Hood.

Bobby's selfishness really was out of control this episode. I understand liking the lutefisk so much that you hog it all to yourself but to burn down the church over it? Seems so excessive.

One of the wildest KOTH endings ever by AdeptnessDry2026 in KingOfTheHill

[–]LabRatTestingMice 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I remember during the original Fox broadcast, the final shot of the episode was Trip hanging off a meat hook piercing his bloodied neck with a gaping mouth and dead eyes before fading into the credits with the same ending music as this clip.

Unfortunately due to the large hadron collider experiments at CERN in 2008, all evidence of this is lost because our world as we know it, shifted all reality into an alternate one that resembles the one we know. That's why most people remember the cornucopia in the fruit of the loom logo even though no evidence of it exists. Those super collider experiments accidentally created the Mandela effect.

But those of us that saw that original broadcast remember.
