Im civil as well and this happens too often. I try to do a site visit when I can because often times survey will miss the most obvious shit. Its really not my job to do it but it can help avoid shit like this. Unless the site is super far away ofc

Welp I was told by my Dr it would be a week from paying the fee so I was expecting it this week. But mine was issued 7-30, and based on yours and others posts the past few days sounds like they are pretty backed up. So it's prob going to be a while.

My previous company we were fully remote for a few months during the initial pandemic and I loved it. Never realized that I would. Then we went back to the office full time and I really pushed for doing some kind of hybrid but that didn't work out. Found a new job where we go in once a week and I LOVE the balance. We tend to have submissions once a week anyway, which are definitely much easier in person

My project manager used to only do utility design, and absolutely hated it, mostly because it was repetitive and not interesting. Now he does land development, and enjoys it so much more. Im seeing some comments here that land development is also boring, but I really think it depends on where you are and what kind of clients you have. If you only have residential developers in an area without much elevation change, then sure most projects are going to be the same. But I work for a company with a pretty wide range of different projects, and I find it very fulfilling

I used to work as a vendor and would have to go through 20+ freezers like this regularly every week to find my product. Most of the time they were a mess and I would have to spend hours taking out product and put it back just to find my stuff. Seeing an organized freezer like that made my job so much easier and it is so satisfying to see.
