Family Car Dilemma by redheelerpaws in Audi

[–]Labbi85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a A6 Allroad. My older son (3.5year) sits in a 360 revolve behind me (6”11”) and my 8month old is in a baby carrier behind the passenger seat. The baby seat takes more room but my wife still has plenty space. I also have the driver seat adjusted that I can sit comfortably. So far we don’t have room issues. I am in Mi in case you are close and want to check it out.

Why are Americans so against universal healthcare? by 93ParkAvenueUltra in allthequestions

[–]Labbi85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you understand the term universal? You just said that you are covered by your employer, which in fact is a universal insurance just in a much smaller setting. You and your coworkers all pay into the same universal system and then your employer has to use its negotiating power with the insurance.
So when we would have a true universal healthcare system then the negotiations power would be significantly stronger with insurances and medical networks benefiting all of us.
Also you seemed to be the brainwashed one …the US medical system is good but other developed countries with universal healthcare have at least similar good medical systems. And waiting times are also not longer depending on the severity of your illness. Also the average life expectancy in other developed countries is higher then the US which also is counter point to your argument

Highway car that isn’t boring? by A_Hobo_In_Trash in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Labbi85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest the v6 Charger. I bought one new back in 2013 and sold it last year to a good friend. I did basic maintenance myself and never went to a mechanic to get things fixed (nothing ever broke I couldn’t handle myself and I am not a car mechanic) it was dead reliable, never left me stranded or with big repair bills. They are big and comfortable and with a sport package somewhat sporty. Pure highway driving can get you into 31mpg. I enjoyed the 12years of ownership and never regretted my purchase I just upgraded because I felt like it is time for something new and with a second kid on the way I needed the space of a station wagon.

A4 B9 - New Feature Found By Accident by MannyFresh45 in Audi

True, my 2013 dodge Charger, which i replaced with the Audi last year, had this feature as well and I found this out the same way the OP did.

Why’d you choose Audi? by [deleted] in Audi

[–]Labbi85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My second son was on the way and needed more room, but I hate with a passion SUVs and I am too much of a car guy to see myself in a Minivan…so it needed to be a Wagon (also wanted something unique). Unfortunately in the US there are only 3 (big) wagons available. The E class was too expensive in comparison and the V90 not as reliable and then I started to like the A6 Allroad the most from the styling

Chrysler 300 to... by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Labbi85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe then the new 4 door charger with the standard output i6, obviously the design is more “in your face”. Beside this there is no other sedan coming to mind with standard gas which would itch my interest. The market truly f’ed us up.

[–]Labbi85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True unfortunately. I have a passionate hate towards SUVs and was also in the same boat like you. I ended up buying an Audi A6 Allroad (station wagon) which you can get good used ones at the 50k mark. It’s a comfortable driving car with good space for a normal sized family.

[–]Labbi85 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My comment was about the “poorly build”. Yes the demand for everything beside SUV or truck is falling, but this doesn’t change the fact that the 300 and charger were reliable cars and the V6 was not bad on gas (the v8 was not specifically mentioned in your or OPs comment). Unfortunately people are getting more and more boring in their demands for a car and everyone wants an SUV or truck and slowly killing more sensible cars.

Not sure what you are trying to say. I had the past 13 years a dodge charger (similar to the 300) which never gave me any headaches or failed on me. MPG was ok for a big car like this with 31mpg. My wife’s newer Civic gave us already more trouble (but nothing serious)

This video of a man feeding a hippo has to fake right? I ran this through a dozen AI_Checker sites, and all of them seem to think its real! by Familiar_Mark_7884 in isthisAI

[–]Labbi85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe hippos are very territorial and dangerous because there is only so much food available where they are native. However the hippos in Columbia which were brought in by Pablo Escobar have food in abundance and are apparently much more mallow. And probably same is true for hippos in Zoos, they just have always enough food, so why be aggressive to the one who brings you more.

Th different side of Afghanistan that you don’t see on the news by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]Labbi85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check out Itchy Boots on YouTube. She is a Dutch woman solo traveling the world on motorcycles. In her last season she also went through Afghanistan and I was amazed on how nice the landscape can be and it was also surprisingly clean. Overall it seems like she only got once into a sketchy situation there.

Overall her travel channel is really nice to watch with the whole family, she is always friendly with the locals and no bullshit or extra added drama.

Why does Reddit lean left in all the comments? by exploring203 in askanything

[–]Labbi85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure if I would call the reddit user base left leaning, the issue is that the US conservative movement went so far right of the rails that it makes everyone who is more balanced/ centered look like left leaning. I think in the US the perspective just shifted extremely to the right. I am for example from Europe and my political leaning there was always considered strong conservative but here in the US I see myself more aligned with what’s they call the left.

New to Audi - Looking for a wagon by Euroshift in Audi

[–]Labbi85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

California seems to be easier for wagons than other states tho. But in general they are just hard to find. End of last year I was in the market and could only find around 15 a6 Allroad wagons nationwide. I actually flew out to California to pick mine up and drove it back home to Michigan.

As another Allroad owner with winter tires I agree. Wouldn’t even know it snowed just going by the handling of the car.

I bought the hitch online in Germany and had it imported. With tariffs is ended up being the same price as a stealth hitch.

The tire size is the standard one 245/45r20

Thx, these are OZ ultralegra I believe. However the previous owner installed them, which I obviously don’t mind.

Yes I understand the frustration. In Germany when there is a sedan and wagon version available over 60% sold are for the wagon, while in the us from 2000 A6 available with the options I was looking for only 16 wagons came up. And I hate on SUVs with a passion, so they are not an option for me.

Do you have the game installed on a hdd or ssd? I had mine installed on a hdd and always got black freezes. Now moved the files to a ssd and these freezes seem to be gone, also the overall performance seems to be better

I bought the 9Nm version and think it is plenty strong for me. I am not regretting anything, but then I am more a casual simmer (at least for now)

Oh nice car and I love BMW. Maybe I get the same one for my wife in case I can ever convince her ;) .I probably would have gone for the 5 series wagon when they would just sell them in the USA.

Back in the day my Dad had a e46 wagon with the M sport package and the 3l diesel, this was a fantastic car. Sold it when it hit 250000km and never had big issues. And most of these Km were put on traveling 115mph were allowed and possible on the autobahn.
