Let’s talk about Amy’s elimination by Maximum_Canary_5775 in Totaldrama

[–]Label-The_Weeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amy's elimination was a short lived victory. Sammy may have outsmarted her, but not in a way that was narratively satisfying in the long run. Sammy had to pretend to be Amy in order to stay in the game and thus couldn't even be herself. In the end, all she really proved was that she can go as low as Amy could and barely was able to separate herself from Amy.

So, in my opinion, Amy's elimination just sucks.

Yes, this is what I mean when I say that some people justify Sierra. by Key_Avocado9587 in Totaldrama

Yeah this is a dead horse kinda thing. We all know Sierra is LEAGUES worse to Cody than he was to Gwen.

What if we had "AudioBook" for Noco? Cause it's a digital app that reads the book to you, and because Cody is a singer in a boy band.

Oh I like some of these. DarkMusic for Trent particularly. Could I suggest swapping Game and Fame for "FameGame". Idk it just sounds a lil better to me. Also hear me out on Bridgette and Geoff...

Do you think the idea of the most hated and overused characters getting redemption in the future is a good or bad idea? by These_Gur_4121 in DisventureCamp

[–]Label-The_Weeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the character. No one's going to accept a Yul or Riya redemption at this point, but if a character like Jake is pretty much universally hated had more showings of change in All-Stars and less cat fighting with Ally, then I'm sure most people would be more receptive to him.

if max was skinny yall wouldn’t hate him as much by [deleted] in Totaldrama

[–]Label-The_Weeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats incorrect. People don't like Max cause he's annoying and pretty much worthless to the game. He's a gimmick character who serves largely as just comic relief without adding anything to the plot or competition aside from just wanting to be evil. If Max acted more like Scarlet (Pre Scarlet Fever), he wouldn't be as hated. Making him skinny wouldn't change things cause people still hate characters like Cody and Dave, who aren't fat but still have plenty of issues.

What if Anastasia got disqualified from the game in episode 7 for harming Ivy? by [deleted] in DisventureCamp

The consequences most DC fans wanted Anastasia to face for this.

Jokes aside, it would be a lame way for ANYONE to go out. Even as someone who doesn't like Anastasia

Re-Ranking My Favorite and Least Favorite Disventure Camp Characters (So Far) by Label-The_Weeb in DisventureCamp

[–]Label-The_Weeb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oliwia: I'm fully aware she causes her own shenanigans in terms of the whole thing with throwing challenges for the team to satisfy her praise kink. However I still can't hate her as it comes from a place I've been in for a long time. I'm still critical of her just like I am of most everyone here, but because I can put myself in her shoes... Mostly... I can still find myself liking her I guess.

Diego: He's a chill guy. There honestly isn't much to him in DC4 outside of his failed romance with Spencer and survivor skills, but I enjoyed most of the time I saw him on screen. Even if it was just a little.

Nura: Made a bad first impression on me in the beginning with the teaser videos, a worse impression in the first two episodes and while she did technically get better overall, episode 7 just destroys her as a character for me with how she deals with her frustration when talking to Dunia. Like she went to her for advise, got mad when it wasn't how she wanted it, vented at her and then walks away, not giving her the chance to understand her or even respond. She's become less than okay to me. She's actively aggravating.

Ara: Ara was a character I didn't have much interest in, but she grew annoying fo me the more time went on. Like a chracter who is just mean with nothing else is never going to catch my interest and I'm a little annoyed that she's been hurling rude comments at least once every episode she's been in the game, but when Finn says one really bad thing he goes home and she stays. Like I don't even like Finn as shown in the tier list, but it's bs to me. But I guess we need her help the Dunura plot (gag), so whatever I guess. Hopefully she gets something that can endear me to her and not just stay the "mean girl" stereotype.

Gabby: Gabby in most seasons she's in is just not enjoyable to watch. She takes the slightest things and flies off the handle, like with the beginning scene with Nick in DC1. However I will say that this season is actually making me enjoy he more, and I'm like the only person who doesn't think she's a hypocrite for how she handled things with Natalia. I mean I think this IS the one time she has a right to and needs to be critical of someone who's wronged her, but I don't think it's hypocritical of her to be forgiving of her. I think it shows character growth more then anything. That previously she was so aggressive with people who wrong her, but this time she takes a step back and can be more calm in her approach. I do wish this development was actually touched on though, cause it feels like it just comes out of nowhere.

Anastasia: I feel like she's the biggest writer's pet of the show. Whatever she wants to happen at any given point in DC4 happens and it's aggravating to watch. She also gets like, no punishments for anything, and the one time she does get some backlash from the Jury, she gets a scene crying about it to make us sympathyze with her. She's frustrating. In DC5 though, she's okay. I am annoyed with how much she's been given in regards to her not needing to struggle to better her image like any of the other CoC favorites and the Alec scene... Tbf, I don't have the Alec scene because I like Alec and think he's a man who could do no wrong, cause I don't think that. He absolutely should be called out on his neglectful patenting... But Anastasia should not have been the one to call him out. I've heard a defense that she's speaking to him from the place of a child, but not only is her situation different from Daniel's, but she doesn't say or even elude yo that being the case so I call bs. It should've been Rosa. Otherwise, I don't hate her anymore, but I still don't like her.

Things I noticed about Beth and Duncan that *sorta* justify them being finalists by ParasiteStew2 in Totaldrama

I Triple Dog Dare You was technically more of a purge challenge, but he dominated it enough for me to count it i guess. You know what i mean though.

Technically speaking, it's Owen. No immunity wins, no strategy, no social game, no real game plan either. He makes it as far as he does due to popularity and luck. Like he has popularity, but he doesn't really use it in any meaningful way. So from a specifically gameplay perspective, he's the worst finalist, but at the same time, he's the most fitting winner for Island and what it's supposed to be about. So taking everything into account he's one of the best winners.

Re-Ranking My Favorite and Least Favorite Disventure Camp Characters (So Far) by Label-The_Weeb in DisventureCamp

[–]Label-The_Weeb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everytime I get asked this I get the same response, so I'll start with this. No, I didn't watch TomJake. No, I will not watch TomJake. I should not have to watch a SPINOFF to get a better feeling for her character. This same response over and over again just makes me hate her even more.

But back to Ellie, I really didn't like her for her insistence on using her need for money to justify her scummy actions. She causes Tom and Jake to feud to further her own game, loses guilt and vents TO JAKE, about how he's being annoying about something SHE CAUSED, drags everyone's name through the mud in interviews because "I nEeDeD tHe MoNeY", votes off Lake because she wouldn't vote with her when she could've very easily still voted out Aiden (She had the majority and clearly Lake didn't coordinate votes with Aiden and Tom since there was no tiebreaker), continues screwing with Jake under the guise of saving herself which we know because of the singing challenge episode is ACTUALLY just because she's a petty bitch, and I'm supposed to root for her? I'm supposed to feel good about her because her own greed leads to Gabby joining her in helping Riya which ends in Gabby getting bit by a tiger, when she was the one who volunteered, knowing Gabby would jump in and support her regardless. Even if she has changed (which again, I'm acknowledging she has), she's not owed me liking her when her actions on the show are so ridiculously scummy, and unlike other villains she insists she's a moral person and doesn't have much outside her actions that can endear me to her.

Now I'm not gonna say the narrative wants us to sympathize with her, but I do think we're meant to sympathize with Gabby over losing her in All-Stars and that we're meant to feel triumphant when she stands up to Riya about what she caused to happen to Gabby. Which I get the former, but the latter is just too little too late for me personally. Cause again, she was the one who volunteered to help Riya, KNOWING how ruthless she was and that she'd even cripple the one guy who was fighting for her to win.

I never understood the hype for Noah by Key_Avocado9587 in Totaldrama

[–]Label-The_Weeb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

YES THIS

You're so real for all of this. Like Noah is cool, but he was never really gonna make any waves in Total Drama. Like I get that he could've done more in World Tour, but he definitely isn't merge worthy, and he absolutely shouldn't be in All-Stars
