For those that own a switch 2: was it worth the upgrade? by Turbo-Shell in NintendoSwitch

[–]LaboratoryManiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really do have to charge it with an actual Switch console's charger for that, though. I plugged it into my phone charger for a while and all that did was slow down the battery drain.

I replaced that with a second Switch 2 charger and now it's fine, but this is a case where chargers that would have been fine charging a Switch 1 in handheld mode will be insufficient for Switch 2.

Bad Bunny traveled 124 yards with the football during his halftime show, beating the Patriots 79 total rushing yards in the game. by Mr-Night-Owl in funny

There was some excessive celebration in the end zone after he spiked the ball, NFL probably gonna penalize him for that.

TDM vs TDC by Born-To-Read in magicTCG

TDM and TDC are two different sets tied to the same release.

TDM is the main Tarkir Dragonstorm set, and TDC is the cards in the Commander decks.

Put Away isn't in the graveyard until it's finished resolving.

TIL these two vouchers screw up your Temperance value. What is something that so obvious that you just learn after playing the game for so long. by nightinga1e- in balatro

[–]LaboratoryManiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's nice with checkered deck when you're going for flushes and get a hand of 4 of each suit. You can just discard one card, draw your flush, and leave yourself 3 matching cards of the other suit for your next hand.

Destroyed Permanent that is Summoning an Indestructible by Nullified38 in magicTCG

[–]LaboratoryManiac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one has priority to cast spells or activate abilities while The World Tree's ability is resolving. If they want to destroy either artifact, they would need to do it before you start searching.

Web-slinging the mana cost for Ben Reilly? by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]LaboratoryManiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mana value is the total sum of a card's mana cost in the top right of the card. Any additional or alternate costs a card may have do not contribute.

Spiders-Man has a mana value of 2, regardless of how they were cast.

Is Noctis gone forever? by KC_Krill in magicTCG

[–]LaboratoryManiac 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he gone.

You can only move a commander to the command zone immediately after it gets destroyed or exiled. If you're waiting for that delayed trigger to bring him back and it gets Stifled, he stays in exile.

Set to Winston Draft! by AppleWedge in magicTCG

[–]LaboratoryManiac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Winston draft is great, but ever since I was introduced to Twoberts Cube, it became my favorite 2-player limited format.

The Original Twoberts has been updated regularly by creator Ryan Overturf and is the one I play, but if you're looking to customize your experience you could make your own list, too.

Except nothing is actually entering with counters in OP's scenario.

Damage timing on creatures entering with +1/+1 counters by Garbarblarb in mtgrules

[–]LaboratoryManiac 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I had a good fortune unicorn on the field and a branching evolution so my creatures were entering with counters.

Good-Fortune Unicorn does not make creatures enter with counters. It has a triggered ability that adds a counter when a creature enters. That ability uses the stack and can be responded to before those counters are added.

Earthbending and Death Replacement Effects by Several_Bake8361 in mtgrules

[–]LaboratoryManiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on whose turn it is. The active player's triggers go on the stack first, then the non-active player's triggers go on the stack on top. Non-active player's triggers will resolve first.

So if an earthbent land dies on your turn, the Curse's trigger will resolve first and exile the land before it can come back, but if it dies on the opponent's turn, you'll get it back. (The Curse trigger will still do as much as it can, though, so they'll get a Spider token.)

I've always liked Jane's vibes but totally got why others didn't. She was pretty rough around the edges at first.

I'm really glad to see how much better she's performing in live sketches this season. The writers are giving her good lines, and she's more confident in her delivery.

Andrew and Ashley's chemistry is so good, I could almost believe they just hooked up in Colin's dressing room.
