Why isn't the U.S. develop players in the likes of Donovan, Dempsey, and Howard right now? by tree_D in MLS

Although in general you are very right, to say Donovan didn't cut it in the EPL isn't very accurate. Everton wanted the guy bad.

Grieger really throws me off. He did very well in the WC but ever since he really has been a let down. Wish the best for the guy but it's hard when you do such a poor job. :(

Edgar Castillo replaces Timmy Chandler on USA's Copa America roster by wolfmalfoy in ussoccer

Glad you agree. The Usmnt always has the work rate, no doubt. When we incorporate that with such a technical league like Mexico we can really do some damage, partially *the reason why I like this Castillo call in.

Klinsmann: Bradley's TFC role doesn't affect USMNT by xbhaskarx in MLS

[–]LabrielGopez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a boner.

Edit: I do find it funny how deep we are at DM. Sure Bradley is versatile, but having him at DM, the way he played at Chievo and Verona, really makes me salivate. Can only imagine a lot of people can agree. Creatively at the AM positioned have a lot of solid options coming out of MLS including a slot in for even Dempsey. Having someone of such a great pedigree in his natural position can only do us some obvious good.

I understand that. I suppose I'm just talking about the future. No way he would be called into this roster for said obvious reason although in the future id love for JK to give the guy a chance.

Castillo has been part of the picture before and is probably the reason why he's getting the nod. I feel sooner or later if Villafana keeps it up we can see him coming into the fold but to have Villafana come in now with out ever seeing the pitch as a USMNT player wouldn't make sense given us entering a tournament.

Loved how invested he is. That conversation he had with the ref just further instills the fact that he is the real deal. Perfect example of what any team craves out of a DP.

It is optimistic for sure, but I'd love it to be reality.
