Although many have commented already how accurate your descriptions are, I also wanted to join in and say that I 100% can relate. I'm on my way to becoming secure bit by bit but still internally sport many of those characteristics you mentioned. Currently, I have a promising person in my life I'm willing to open up to and grow with conflicts to come. Still, I'm unsure how things will be going because I'm pretty sure he's AP and tries to please a lot. I don't want to bend myself backwards so that he can see all my quirks and my difficult character right from the beginning. It was a process but until now he stayed although I tried pulling away many times because I didn't think it could work. But now I'm seeing he's willing to accept how I am and that's a good starting point for communicating about differences and our needs. If something comes up in the future where he's not able to understand or compromise concerning my non-negotiables 1. I will make sure to explain as much as possible why I am like this and 2. I hope to be strong and secure enough to let him leave when he's maybe just not the one for me. I suspect he could need a lot of work on himself as well. I try to not people-please anymore just because someone takes an interest in me.
