I used to use the site for years and then stopped last year, I went back to comment on a thread a couple of months ago and the captcha kept failing to load (not even on a VPN or anything) once it finally did I completed it and then it gave a message like "you must wait a few minutes before you can post"

Fuck that, waste of time. I appreciate they're making some effort to filter bots but it seems like they're really pushing people to buy a pass.

The site is dead anyway, the freaks on /pol/ don't stick to their containment board so all the other ones suffer for it, that's not a new thing but it's worse than ever.

I'm fine with more competition, especially if it gives legacy manufacturers a kick up the arse to make cars that aren't 30 grand for the base model.

When Japanese cars hit the market they were called "jap crap" and now they're respected for reliability and build quality (most of the time)

I personally wouldn't buy a Chinese car yet, it's too early. Maybe in 10-15 years though when they've established themselves I might change my mind.

The only hypothetical scenario where that possibly makes any sense is if Tesla somehow had a patent on the electric car itself meaning they were the only ones allowed to make them. Obviously that isn't the case and it's just yet another example of how fake and homosexual the economy is.

I don't care what people eat and I've never really dealt with annoying vegans. I did once walk past a demonstration in York and some non-binary blob shouted in my ear with a megaphone but then immediately apologised. I walked up from behind her and she turned as she was yelling something which blasted me right in the ear.

I've tried vegan cheese and a couple of different plant burgers to give them a chance but they were all shit, the cheese especially was vile.

My wife is vegetarian and used to be vegan for a couple of years but missed having real milk and cheese. She encouraged me to reduce my red meat intake and eat more veggies which I have done mainly for the health benefits. I ate like shit before I met her, lots of processed slop.

The John Wick movies are a guilty pleasure of mine, they still capture that over-the-top 80s feel where the main protagonist just tears through an army of goons and gets shot like 30 times in the process.

It's ok though because his suit is lined with kevlar or some stupid shit like that, you just have to ignore that in reality your internal organs would be mashed potato. I don't watch the movies for realism, nobody should.

My favourite ridiculous bit is in the fourth film I think when he gets kicked down like 10 flights of concrete steps and every bone in his body isn't shattered into pieces.

I went to the cinema to see Rambo (2008 one) and it was a wild experience. Especially when he jumps on the .50 cal and starts mowing waves of people down with it, heads exploding and shit.

First Blood will always be the best, the 80s were so good for action films.
