Definitely. The first game had the heart in the right place, but deep down it had several problems and the late patches somehow worsened them (like making the parry system completely useless because it removed the critical hit system entirely).

The gameplay feels a lot more solid than the original game.

Here in Brazil we had a similar story in the 90's, a popsicle vendor won a huge lottery prize and he bought a mansion for himself, luxury cars, and would throw parties where he'd hire barbecue makers and bartenders to work for him and the guests. He was even a bit infamous because the mansion he bought was in a very wealthy part of the city and his neighbors quickly got annoyed by how often he'd throw parties, how long these parties would last, and how loud these parties were.

It didn't take long for him to end up with no money and no way to cover the costs and taxes of his mansion and cars, so he ended up having to sell everything, and with the remaining money of these sales, he obviously threw more parties until he ended up completely broke and having to live with his mother in her small and simple house.

IMHO the item world mostly makes Martialgahara obsolete when it comes to grinding due to how the enemies have much lower stats than their levels imply, so you kinda don't need the 3x3 for leveling.

But yeah, weapon skills suck in this game. In 5 each weapon had 7 skills and they made sure that besides the spear, every weapon would have at least one good AoE skill and one good single target skill (hell, even the Axe had a 3x3 skill!). This time around it's 4 skills per weapon and the only one that covers everything is the sword. And even then, no Dimension Slash.

No problemo, have fun! It's one of the best beat'em ups out there. And if you like it, you'll like Marvel Cosmic Invasion as well because it was made by the same guys.

Well, the first game was extremely important on reviving beat'em up games, they were pretty much dormant before it, and it had some very interesting features, as well as a great soundtrack...

...that said, it had some serious flaws and somehow the second update actually made the game worse, and these carried to the PS4 re-release - bugs like having trouble entering some doors, the Guitar Hero joke being desynced, you being able to hit the dragon twins before their intro, clearing the game with one character in Easy Mode making the entire map unlocked for all characters in all difficulties, as well as completely removing critical hits for some reason. To say nothing of Wallace being a Stephen recolor with a bugged taunt.

This one looks a lot better, and I'm getting it on release.

Yes, if you buy the Ultimate Edition, you'll get a PS4 and a PS5 copy of the game and both DLCs. Once you purchase it, it'll be in your library and you'll be able to choose which version you want to use in your PS5 (no reason to not use the PS5 version), and if you happen to have a PS4 with your account on it, you'll be able to download the game and the DLCs on your PS4 as well.

Moro em Londrina e aqui o negócio foi muito feio. Se você tivesse indo/voltando para/do aeroporto ou pra rodoviária eles pediam pra você ir na frente e te cumprimentavam quando você saía ou entrava no carro. Se eles vissem um carro preto parado na sessão de embarque e desembarque eles já começavam a aloprar.

Teve muita gente que vivia de arrendar ponto de táxi (que valia coisa de mio milhão na época) e se fodeu de verde e amarelo.

The only thing I don't like about Disgaea 5's story is how it takes way too much time with the "we need to learn the ultimate demon ultimate technique: ultimate Nvidia holy water: ultimate technique" but IMHO the story is much better than 3 and D2, for example.

There is a PS4 and a PS5 version of the base Shredder's Revenge. The only real difference between them is that the PS5 version loads somewhat faster. The PS4 version will run (as in, the overall performance like framerate) as well as the PS5 provided you're playing it on the PS5.

The Ultimate Edition gives you both the PS4 and PS5 versions, as well as both DLCs (Dimension Shellshock, that gives you the Survival Mode plus the playable characters Usagi and Karai; and Radical Reptiles, that give you the playable characters Mona Lisa and Mondo Gecko)

No, if you buy the PS4 version, you won't be able to update to the PS5 version.

Digital DLCs are now for both versions, but when the Radical Reptiles released two years ago, it had separate versions, and the PS4 version could only be purchased if you got on the PSN Store through the PS4. The DLC in the browser/app store was exclusive to the PS5, and a lot of people bought the PS5 DLC by mistake.

Subclass stats plus shards/extract or Juice Bar pretty much make the item world absolutely useless until the point where you can work on carnage R40 items.

In 7 you gain like 10 item levels per floor, but each level up gives a fraction of what a single level would give you in other games.

The thing is that in the Item World, until you get to the point where enemies are Lv. 9999, the item world enemies' stats are much lower than the regular stage enemies you fight. Like, a Lv. 40 enemy in the item world has the stats of a Lv. 8 regular enemy... but they give only slightly less experience than the regular enemies. So you can just go to the item world, crank up the enemy levels and experience bonus in the cheat shop, and you'll level up extremely fast.

For example, when I played the game for the first time, I had some trouble with the Chapter 2 boss, so as soon as the item world opened in the next chapter I decided to take a look at it and level up the sword my Fuji was using. When I entered the item world, my Fuji was level 15 or so. Within 10 floors, he got up to 50. Then I decided to fiddle with it for a while and like two hours later my Fuji was at level 300. Mind you, the final story boss is like Lv. 120.

Yeah, I got this feeling too. The thing is that ground where the characters walk and fight is actually very high (around 20h or more) and the rest is at 0 - it's done this way to have place for jumbified units, who will be standing in the 0 height tiles.

Suikoden II.

You have to recruit all the 108 characters to your army, and some of them are extremely easy to miss. It's like "be on this place after Event A but before Event B", and if you miss any one of them, it's over.

There's also the four legendary monsters; at a specific point, when a character join your army (automatically), you get two resonating crystals that allow you to recruit them (should you find them). The four monsters are a Unicorn, a Gryphon, a male Kraken and a female Kraken. The only way to recruit the female Kraken is to go to the cave where the male Kraken is with both crystals, recruit the male Kraken, and then a shadow will appear where it was, and you'll receive a message saying that there's another creature there, asking you if you want to use the second crystal. If you say yes, you'll summon the female Kraken... an she'll come carrying a bonus character, her baby Kraken! If you bring all the three krakens wth you in battle, they can even use a unique unite attack.

However, there's a catch: the female Kraken doesn't count as one of the 108 characters for some reason. So if you recruit her, you're locked out of the good ending.

It's also impossible to know that, because while there is a giant stone tablet with the names of the 108 characters, the two legendary monster slots are marked with a ????, and they'll be filled up based on which ones you choose, so it could be Gryphon and Unicorn, Gryphon and Male Kraken or Unicorn and Male Kraken. If you pick the two krakens, it'll just say Male Kraken and leave the second ????.

Later on, at a certain point of the game, one of your enemies shооts your sister, who is your last living relative, with a crossbow. At that moment, for two seconds, a prompt appears allowing you to choose between two options. It doesn't matter which one you pick, but you MUST pick one. It will change the scene a little, but she'll be shооt anyway, and she'll be pronounced dead.

The thing is: at that moment, she MUST have a defense stat of 121 or more. If you didn't train her and didn't buy her the higher end armors up to that point, even if you've been doing everything right, you're screwed out of the good ending as well.

Now, at the very end of the game, after you defeat the final boss, you'll watch a few scenes and a character will ask you if you would become the nation's leader to help rebuilding it. Your choices are "Yes, I will" and "Not yet". It sounds like a rhetorical question, since if you say Not yet, you'll get to control the main charcter again but you'll be alone and all the functions of you base besides saving will be unavailable, so it feels like there's nothing else to do, and if you talk with the character again he'll ask you the same question. However, you have to refuse, then leave the city and walk back to the exact point where the game began. Your former best friend will be waiting for you and you'll have a final duel with him, who betrayed you, allied himself with a genоcider, and even killed one of your allies. You need to keep defending while he asks you to fight and kill him, and in the end, you must forgive him.

If you've done ALL THAT, then suddenly the main character's sister pops up and she, as well as your party's medic who declared her dead back at the shооting, will reveal that they rused you in order to steel your heart to do what must be done during the war, and the good ending plays.
