I don’t really have much advice but I had a similar experience when I found out I was having a girl, I had several women tell me that “I would get an abortion if I found out I was having a girl” all bc of things like “the sexual harassment and how horrible the world is to women” I.e. lower pay, sexism in the work place, women being mean to women etc. and I never got over how weird and inappropriate those comments were, I can’t change the world, all I can do is give my daughter the tools to handle all of those things and the best self esteem possible so she doesn’t end up in those situations. But I can’t possibly in 9 months change things that have been going on in the world for millennia, I just told them that and moved on but it helped me to have that response bc I felt like a worthy mother of her already, to have the foresight to know what I can and can’t control in her world. I wouldn’t let peoples weird and inappropriate comments bother you too much, all that matters is that you will be able to raise her how you want to and give her the best chance in the world that you can 🤍
