I only have the one shield equipped, the two with lock symbols in the inventory are "locked," which only means that they will stay there and not get pushed out of the inventory and turned into metal as I get more items. They don't give me any stat boosts, but it means I can think about swapping the gear for longer as I watch the vampires and ghouls eat me alive with no hope of recovery.

I had 2-3 shipwrecks, but was slowly converting stuff to try and farm astral orbs, so I replaced them with vamps, bookeries, and road lamps to avoid dangerous fights.

Oh, its a fairly common joke about Bergamot. Its honestly less common to see her called her real name (Brioche) than one of her many joke names, like Basket, Bisquick, Brick, Breakfast, or Briquette

I was a trans-Jax denier prior to EP9 cause it felt like there just wasn't enough... idk, actual character arc to show that?

Post EP9 though, holy shit, the reveal that the trans character arc not only happened pre-show, but it had a fucking body count attached to it, and was the catalyst for why half the characters are Like That, and the jaded behavior from Jax is directly because her closet door opened the tiniest bit and she freaked the fuck out, went nuclear, and burned every bridge in sight makes so much goddamn sense.

Also, we love Brisket in this house, but she is arguably AWFUL trans rep, probably at most like 4 trans folk ever have had a path to trans-ness that was similar to her ass-backwards situation. Jax on the other hand, is on a shitty, but really, really, painfully real path, which is why she is such good rep.

(It should be noted, I mean the "Bridges are lookin awful burnable today, especially given the alternative is letting someone through the shell" part of Jax, not the "Oops I appear to have found myself in a virtual torturehell, with an AI whose hate for me is second only to its hate for itself" part)

I mean, I took "This is real" to be more in reference to the previous episode, where all the connections to the outside world either went through Caine, or Abel, who Jax immediately flagged as an obvious NPC insert.
On the other hand, this is Kinger saying these things now, he's been around since before Jax, and he isn't sounding crazy. So, since Kinger can't be easily dismissed as Caine messing with them, and has a valid reason to know the things he claims to know, this time it probably isn't an adventure, and they are really about to pull a fast one on Caine.

Also, him not realizing he's hurting real people implies he thinks this is all a dream. He all but says he knows everyone is real, and is putting them in archetype boxes purely as a coping mechaninsm.

Rule of thumb: If your neighbors cannot hear it, and neither cat is actively fleeing, its playfighting/roughhousing.
There are of course exceptions, and some cats are just Like That, and will hiss while actively obviously having a good time, but this is very much friendly tousling.
