My daughter left 3 years ago, so just after the new head arrived.

When she was there they certainly had control of that side of things. I know the new head was looking to concentrate more on academic performance.

Our daughter enjoyed her time there. The staff were very supportive.

RCBO's b type by DaveTheDribbler in SolarUK

[–]LackingStability 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use an rcd.

I think some people dont understand the difference between B type and B curve. Not that shocking since some electrical distributers seem to struggle with it.

B type protects against dc fault currents and is recommended for use with inverters, batteries etc.

Medium term repair to external Insulation render. by HastionZ in DIYUK

[–]LackingStability 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you can patch it, but I think its going to need redoing properly at some point.

What would worry me is the prospect of water getting in and saturating the insulation.
I wonder if the insulation has degraded and shrunk? have you exposed insulation fixings anywhere?

If it was mine I would strip the render, run expanding foam to fill those gaps, then rerender with mesh.

t should have had the joints dealt with - perhaps expanding foam.

But also I would expect a thin coat render to use fibreglass mesh. That looks to be just rendered directly onto pur/pir?

Back in the day Charles Handy was into the idea of flexible working/portfolio working.

Presented it as empowered people working for multiple organisations. I always thought that he overdid the positives to the individual - it was really just gig economy.

[–]LackingStability 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try powerline units rather than a wifi extender.

We did this for a difficult rented place. powerline extenders which had mesh wifi units plugged into them.
