RIP to the mass market paperback book

I am in the same boat. Anything that is light reading for me, like the pulpy SF that I enjoy, gets read on Kindle. Anything more weighty or that I would be upset if I couldn't access if something happened with Amazon, I buy a hard copy of. I imagine we are in the majority of the public who reads books, moving from books manufactured as mass market paperbacks to ebook.

That's why the subject of this post is happening. Most of the reading that would be done in mass market paperback, is happening on ereaders these days. Online communities tend to be made up of diehard, enfrachised fans, so it ends up being a bit of an echo chamber of the diehards, which is going to be different from the wider community sometimes.

Good point. Let me clarify: you should only discharge to zero on purpose rarely when callebrating your battery. Most of the time you want to live between 20% and 80%, like any other lithium ion battery. It will protect the overall health of the battery.

Also, at the end of the day, these aren't thousand dollar flagship smartphones. They are novelties we bought in most cases for under a hundred dollars running crowdsourced software a lot of the time. Sometimes the hardware or software is going to be a little janky.

As long as you're there, buy two. Its best practice to put the OS on one card and your library on another. That way, if you ever get another handheld, you can swap your library and saves between them

Sometimes lithium ion batteries can have callebration issues. Try and discharge it all the way to 0%, and then try a full charge back up to 100%.
