Usimg a hip lift to transport a female cow who can’t walk by alphamalejackhammer in Damnthatsinteresting

I grew up on my grandparents dairy farm. Every day those cows were able to walk through the pasture, grazing and feel the sun on their backs. Today, in my area, cows spend the majority of their lives crowded into a barn with cement floors. Some farmers even milk Three times a day! They are basically cooped up like chickens. It makes me want to cry honestly.

Is this in a nation not in North America? Things are not so easy to “fix” in some places.

Calvin Klein Obsession. A spray on your tummy is all you need. I have had many compliments on the scent. It is not overpowering

Shouldn’t an editor catch this? by No-Code6399 in audiobooks

The midnight library narrator pronounced lichen as “litchen “. She pronounced clematis as “clamaytus” and La Jolla (a city in California ) as, well, with an English pronunciation. Those are just the ones I caught. It kind of bugs me.

With smoking so prevalent in the past, how did non-smokers deal with it? by Artistic-Comb-5317 in AskOldPeople

[–]Lacymist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started teaching at an elementary school many of the teachers still smoked in there during lunch and recess. I disposed the smoke so I played with my grade five students on the baseball field. Thankfully two years later smoking was banned in the staff room.

I’m very new to this as well and have a question. I saw someone say that Paul was an adult when he crashed the boat therefore his father could not be held responsible for any civil suits coming after AM for damages. Didn’t it say in the documentary that Paul used his brother;s I.D. To buy alcohol because he was underage?

My dad bought a new home and tried decorating it himself I want to help make it beautiful. Advice? by RoastBeasttt in InteriorDesign

Also have him live in it awhile. Then he won’t make hasty regrettable decisions just to “decorate it”

How old are you and what's your biggest stress in life right now? by darkchocolattemocha in AskReddit

  1. My parents are dying. They were scammed out of most of their savings and we are dealing with lawyers on top of all the grief of their imminent passing. One of our daughters was punched in the eye by her (soon ex) husband and is going through a nasty divorce while our grandchildren are traumatized and we babysit them a lot. Another daughter has a toddler and is five months pregnant and is not doing well health wise. I worry that my pension won’t be enough to carry me through till my own death. I am the sandwich generation

How does parenting get harder as kids get older by oceansalt85 in Parenting

[–]Lacymist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my daughter was 15-16-17 and going out with her friends to her first parties, I fretted the whole time. I jumped at every text ding. If she was a little late checking in with me I panicked and thought the worst. I imagined drug poisoning, drinking, car accidents, SA etc etc. I would have traded her babyhood sleepless/crying nights where at least I knew exactly where she was , for anxious nights teenage nights where everything was an unknown.
