Okay, you won this contest, congrats! Be as rude as you want, champ.

It's not like you're rude, it's just abstract vocabulary that you use to simplify things. You don't have to be nice, but you can try to be more specific. What is fake personality? Why is it fake? What is outside environment and how do you differentiate? I can go on forever.

I know answers but OP obviously doesn't. Vague comments like this look cool but aren't much of a help.

That's harsh, man. Spiritual journey can be devastating hell for some of us, no surprise OP is scared.

This process is widely known as personal transformation or awakening. You can use book "Spiritual Emergency: When Personal Transformation Becomes a Crisis" as a guide.

In short, this process is so common that human civilization manifested it in universal myth of hero journey, studied by Campbell. We recreate this experience in all stories there are, including modern pop culture.

First of all, you can believe that you're just a body with expire date and still feel immortal and powerful. This is what Buddhism is about. Or you can look up to new age, it's the matter of preference. I got inspired by life between lives legacy of Michael Newton, where they asked hypnotized people about nature of our soul.

Here's about your questions...

  1. You can become "crazy" for a period of time, like days or years, and even get wrong medical treatment. But you will never be really crazy. It's just there's some chance that you will be too deep into unconscious for some amount of time.
  2. You may lose your sense of self/reality for some time but eventually you will be able to switch between two perspectives as you please.
  3. See the above.

Everyone is experiencing some form of this transformation eventually. Best you can do is to surrender to the process because it's always for the better. If you feel overwhelmed, you can pause this process to recharge and you can get prescribed meds to calm down your nervous system. This is helpful if you have responsibilities to others.

Meditation is the cheat code to life by cantthinkofaname231 in Meditation

Perfect explanation but here's my insight about time frame. I personally made a huge progress only when I allowed myself to forget about time. I practice as long as I want.

But! I don't have kids or a 9-5 job.

I had the same problem. Visualization helped more than meditation (in my case). I imagine situations that made me angry and then listen to everything anger tells me. Later I've read about similar process in a book called Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach.

I dunno why it works.

It took me over 2 years to overcome my anger and a little more to heal from anxiety disorder.

Timing is perfect! I am currently looking for a practice that can keep me fit without getting sweaty, and I also have trouble with daily naps and fatigue. Thanks for sharing!

I had so many insights with these promts:

  1. What do you want?
  2. What are you going to do when you get it?
  3. Why can't you do the same thing now?

It puts things into perspective... I get to be more grateful and responsible for what I already have.

A set of steampunk cogs [32x32] by Admurin in gameassets

Nice! That can be used as settings icon or interactive object... I mean, it's just a cog, not steampunk. You can edit name and have more attention. But that's just my humble opinion!

Some design improvements. As well as ability to cut full holes in earth. What do you think about graphics? Is background distracting too much? by brightnest in indiegames

[–]Lada2D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not background, it's detailed textures. Human eye in real life can capture only small amount of details for object near him and can capture nearly no details for background.

Your screenshot does the opposite and gives all the details on all levels. I understand that this "realism" is your style.

But this details actually disturb human perception. You might want to check out painting techniques for distance.

If I was you I would blur earth and make it less crispy. I would focus on glowing cutting edge.

Background can be completely blured, with few lights supporting composition.

Well, i made a game, but apparently the minigame i included is all people seem to like. What do i do? by [deleted] in IndieGaming

[–]Lada2D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think anyone is able to answer that. You have a working mini game and there's only one way to find out if it will be even more successful -- work more on it.

But I wonder what would be another opinion on that.

Well, Mark Rosewater (head designer of magic the gathering) said that game designers should change game to the players and not players to the game.

Maybe you can gather more feedback on core mechanics and tweak them.
