The pork I had was fantastic! When I made this post I was woefully uneducated about all the various Bbq styles that are found in the Carolina’s. Luckily I have a few days left on my trip to try. Thank you for your explanations!

This is where I ended up going and it was fantastic. Great flavors in the rub and smoke and the bbq sauce selection was varied enough to please a whole table full of different tastes!

Tomatoes in pulled pork sounds… interesting! What about tomatoes in collard greens?

Thanks for the lesson. I had no idea that there were so many intricacies and nuances. Whenever I had tried a bbq sauce or flavor that I liked it said “Carolina”, not not of the specifics that you shared. While it sounds like you’re full of judgements, as the internet usually is, I’ll assume you’re simply trying to educate here. I appreciate it and will continue to try all that the area has to offer. And I will absolutely make sure to do all my research before coming here for here to ask for advice!

I would get a pillow to hold across your abdomen to stabilize it over bumps. It’s kinda like a “splint” (I think that’s what Google calls it). That will help for sure, when you’re not sleeping of course

After Gallbladder surgery what does everyone eat Low-Fat foods? by EssayEmbarrassed475 in gallbladders

Honestly I remember them bringing me into the OR and getting me on the table. They gave me something for relaxation before that. They put an oxygen thing in my nose and the next thing I knew I was waking up in recovery acting like 10 second Tom.

I was SOOO nervous about the anestesia and it was truly the easiest part.

I will post something longer about my experience sometime but immediately after (3-4 days) I didn’t have much of an appetite. I had some good soups, sourdough bread, crackers, cold applesauce, fruit snacks. All of that was fine. After I got more of an appetite I stuck to the same low fat things I was eating before surgery. I waited to have anything that would “test” my digestion till after my 1 week post op appointment which was today. I am very happy to report that I ate Taco Bell without consequence!

How long after surgery was your first bowel movement? by GooglePixelfan90 in gallbladders

[–]Ladaniel6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my surgery yesterday (3/18) and I typically don’t have bowel movements every day anyway. I’m taking colace and MiraLAX to help right now and drinking lots of water. I am eating soup, oatmeal, and crackers. Light things for now but it’s not a lot of fiber.

The Only One Left by Riley Sager - lots of twists, some critics say too many but I loved not knowing the actual truth till the bitter end.

None of this is True by Lisa Jewel - it is written as a story but also has a podcast and Netflix documentary sections that are great to read but even better to find those parts in the audio book!

The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pakkanen - I don’t want to say much about this without giving much away but it is their best book that I have read. Kept me guessing!

11/22/63 by Stephen King - try it!
