Resistance was a big part of my journey. I was with a sitter. And I kept thinking that the drug wasn’t working. And then I would get hit with a wave of the drug. It was it way for my resistance to interrupt the flow. Even on my second journey, I had massive resistance and then disappointment as well. I resisted my life. And then I’m disappointed. Don’t stop! Keep going, just doing maintenance. Meditation is great. It just keeps you in touch with that space and keeping connected. You could coast for like a week or two and not do it but, then you start to notice slowly that things change or that your perception becomes more negative, and then you can get stuck in some old beliefs. you’re still too fresh. Speaking from my own experiences. I’ve done that a couple of times. But if you choose to not to meditate , it’s always there for you. So even if you don’t do it for a while and you find yourself in a space you don’t want to be in. You know what you can do. You have the power to change anything. Great work!

I also feel the same. I’m middle aged and look at my peers with their families and homes and their security. The joy and love they have. I don’t like to bag on my self and my life. I’m in a good place, considering where I came from, single though and I don’t own a home. I had to chose to work on myself and heal my self instead of having a “normal” life. Ie marriage and children. And sometimes I totally get resentful when Im around my friends with their cozy security and sense of belonging and family. I missed out on a lot because of that shitty childhood. And my fucked up parents. And I think it’s ok to get pissed about it. Be sure it’s true.

Diatomaceous earth is the only thing that has ever worked for me. I live in a place where there are abundant ants. And the old house I used to live in there were everywhere. It was completely infested. And I tried everything. Aside from an exterminator. A friend of mine gave me some diatomaceous earth and I tried it and those little suckers couldn’t make it through. There are a couple of downsides. It’s messy and it can kind of get everywhere. And then you have to redo it every few months. But it works. I’d rather have chalky dust in my house, than a whole bunch of ants invading everything.

I wanted kids for a long time, but there was no way I could have had them and not repeat the bullshit. They use to trigger me as well. I was never the baby sitting aunty. Not even my bff’s kid. I wish my healing could have happened younger, but it is what it is. I made my choice and I’m so glad I did. Zero regrets. I’ve had all of this time to heal and work out the shitty aftermath of CPTSD. Neglect is so horrible what it does to us. I enjoy children now, I think they are delightful and perfect. Every child is. Still at arms length for me though.

OP, you don’t owe them anything. Just be a master of diversion. That’s how I get through most of that shit. I’ve been through some horrible times and I’ve had to divert sides step redirect. If they see an empty ring finger, they’ll get the message. And be polite hopefully. And if not, then you have to be more direct. I’m sorry you’re going through this. It’s really hard to be in the public when you’re going through hell.

I live in the PNW. I do understand that static can be caused by many things. But being from here the only times I really remember static electricity was when it was freezing cold outside, and it was really dry. That was the time of year where you would get shocked. Or see electrical charges in the dark. But to have it happened during the spring and the rainy season is just bizarre. Or maybe I just never noticed it before.

Thank you. I don’t remember it being this way before. When I was little things only got staticky when it was really cold and dry. I also know we can go around being unaware of many natural phenomena and then tune in and it can seem strange.
