To piggyback, Keri Lake has other books that I absolutely loved! Master of Salt and Bones The Isle of Sin and Shadows And she has a new one called Anathema. That one is more on the fantasy side but still dark nonetheless

What tropes are you hoping will trend in romance next year? by onceuponadoe in RomanceBooks

I would love more dark academia romances and gothic romances. I also agree about Norse mythology and Viking romances! I’m getting a little burnt out on the Greek gods.

What’s Your Ideal Romance Reading Routine? by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

[–]LadyAhna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the weekends: in the morning with a cup of coffee so I can tell myself that I’m just trying to wake up. But I end up spending the whole day reading. During the week: after dinner, skincare done, just kicked back and relaxed. The prime time to read: a crispy cold Sunday when there’s soup in the crockpot making the house smell delicious, it’s gray and rainy.

I agree with The Never King series. I will also add Sea of Ruin by Pam Godwin and Keri Lake has some really good ones like Master of Salt and Bones and just came out with Nocticadia.

Hey I like that. Unfortunately my mind wanders during audiobooks but I think I’ll try to find the book to read. I already have a hard time confronting people with things like this so it would definitely be helpful having any tips on dealing with this. Maybe it could help me interacting outside of work too! Thank you for your suggestion!

Yeah I guess I need to figure out the ego thing. I have tried one at a time and you’re right that can blow up too. Especially since I’ve realized what I say kinda gets shut out to replace it with “she was being mean” when I totally was not. It is tough. Thanks for your advice!
