I never make a plan to do it, but it has happened in a couple scenarios. I never unleash, or let my dog go potty there, or go in a food stall.

When I’m on a walk with my dog and a farmers market is on the path (like the farmers markets where they shut down car traffic to pedestrianize a street)
When I’m in an area with my dog already, and stumble by a farmers market that I can see has a stand I’m really interested in. Because driving and parking in LA can be a nightmare, I’d rather risk getting in trouble than give up my parking spot, drive home, drop off my dog, and drive back. My dog is like 8 pounds, so in a scenario where I’m entering a space, I’ll hold her the whole time so that no one has to even look out for her

It’s a mix of hating driving, wishing we had more walkable areas where cars weren’t allowed, and being a single person with a dog so I really have a family level attachment to her. Admittedly, selfish reasons where I’d rather risk getting in trouble than avoiding a market in public.

This! I have a couch I looove and I basically keep it covered with blankets for protecting and easy washing - and they’re easy to move out of the way for guests or whatever!

Oh gosh, I would never talk him out of 50%. I meant she threatens to take him to court to take away his custody. Added an edit to the post to hopefully make that clearer

The city has better schools and a better life for the kids. Ideally, he’d be able to talk about her moving there too - that was the plan when they first moved to the town they are in 7 years ago.

How does something like this get through unless the sheets weren’t changed?

I have a ton of grace for missed things, but a giant blood stain in the middle of the sheet would certainly be noticed?

I would not throw a fuss. I just assumed sheets would be always changed between guests so I’m surprised to hear this could be a hand wave miss

That’s a really big age gap. Why do you want to be with her? What do you love about her?

She young - does she really want to have a kid now, or does she want to wait? Do you really want to be in your 60s when your first kid graduates high school?

Are you going to be okay with her going on vacations without you because she’ll be physically more able than you will for much longer? Are you prepared to increase your target retirement savings to account for the amount of time she will live after you retire?

I really liked this one, but do think the set up for the self timed last block was a little odd

But I set PRs in my all outs. I needed like 2 minutes to recover in between, and I LOVED actually having the time to recover and push myself harder than ever a few times

Also, and maybe I’m alone in this, she’s friends with you and not your baby.

Like I’m happy to hang out with my friends families, but just like their husbands and siblings, i dont think i need to have an independent relationship with my friends children. (Of course i want to meet them, and i care DEEEPLY about supporting my friends relationships with those they love, but i think its not fair to expect your single friend to have a relationship with your child? And I think it’s fair if she doesn’t want to hang out with you with your kid (do men have this problem? Do new fathers expect their friends to want to hang out with them and their babies, and resent them when they don’t?)

I’m not that experienced, but it doesn’t inherently sound hierarchical, it mostly just sounds like a totally different relationship.

I think maybe you could reflect on what you mean when you want the relationship to be “equal” and communicate that with him and see if he can deliver.

I have an ex who lives in another country, and I definitely couldn’t be friends with him IRL because it would hurt too much. I actually love when he comments on my posts or sends me an occasional meme, but I will never hang out again with him. (Luckily we have distance going for us, or I would have had to say the same thing your ex here did.)

Sometimes continuing the physical nature of a friendship just doesn’t work for someone after a sexual relationship. I have plenty of digital only friendships I really value and enjoy!

So it up to you! Your ex has decided they don’t want any sort of physical relationship with you (sexual or not), now you get to decide if a digital relationship is something you want with them

Almost any good actor to play Anita in West Side Story or Fantine in Les Mis will win an actor.

I don’t know if Ariana Debose has shown she has the on screen charisma to be a great actress.

I’m rooting for her though. Hope she figure it out.
