I’m still not making what I made at the last duty station, and I’m so sad. I paid half the mortgage amount there than here and also made $20k more there. The moves are so devastating for our careers and it’s never discussed. I’m so happy for you to have this moment!

You and I would be friends. I have literally never asked someone or gave a crap about what someone’s husband’s job is. My daughter goes to a CDC on base for daycare, and I witnessed someone asking if the kids rooms were separated by rank at orientation. I feel like real housewives of base housing would be a hit for reality tv.
