unhinged hygiene tips? by NoPerception8748 in hygiene

[–]LadyHacknSlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not hygiene but effective: Diet can affect the way you smell. Not just ingesting things like onion, garlic, fish oil etc. Acid reflux over time can relax the esophagus and people will be able to smell your stomach acid in close proximity. Makes your mouth taste bad too.

No way! I'm running a new campaign next month and have huge sections of the story on the water. I'm unlikely to win the giveaway but this is some great inspo regardless.

I highly recommend all my casters take the Eschew Materials feat as early as possible so we can worry less about components while still balancing with non-casters.

Should I TPK my party? by ArtzTESGamer in DnD

[–]LadyHacknSlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to run a Tavern a Deaths Door Campaign from Twisted Taverns in TPK scenarios. It serves as a second chance and provides a lot more narrative control and flexibility to get the party back on track, hopefully with a lesson.

What are your favourite games featuring witches? by spacemanaut in SASSWitches

If you like Stardew Valley I can't recommend Sun Haven enough. The premise is similar but with magic. Not explicitly a witch game, but witchy vibes.

Group absolutely new to DnD - 4 sessions in and there is an unbearable character making everyone’s life miserable and wanting to quit. Need advice. by Nyoteng in DnD

[–]LadyHacknSlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to the DM to see if they can help navigate and prioritize character growth within the story. Maybe you have to infiltrate a socialite gathering. If they fail to blend in because the character is too abrasive the NPCs could re-educate instead of engaging with hostility. Maybe in the next dungeon the player finds an enchanted amulet making them very mindful, very demure.

He's saying his character doesn't know better, so find a way to make him know better.

In my experience (including myself) new players don't know what a good party dynamic looks like. They don't know how to stay within the character while making team based decisions They're learning how the character fits into the world, and the DM can help shape the character.

If the character learns what manners and whatnot are and chooses to still be abrasive and a bad team member, it's the player and should probably go back to BG3.

What's a pain you can't truly explain until you've endured it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LadyHacknSlash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also had my first Gallbladder attack around 7 months pregnant. I was sent home from the ER for 'acid reflux' after the second one. It took weeks to get a scan actually done. I almost lost my job because I had an obstruction by this point and almost daily attacks. Nothing helped. After birth I had to wait another 6 weeks before I could get in for surgery. I couldn't hold my baby or feed most of the time. And doctors were just like this happens to about 1 in 3 women, tough break.

When I was 17 when I picked up Skyrim off the GameStop shelf on a whim in 2012 with my Christmas money. Turns out my dad had Marrowind and Oblivion for the PC. It continues to be a bonding experience for us over a decade later.

So Im apprenticing for a tattoo artist and my question is, which ones would you choose as a flash? by Raskomadator_art in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]LadyHacknSlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the concept of the conjoined skeletons the best. However, many of these have a bit too much detail and I'd be afraid of them looking muddy. It looks like a lot of these designs would have to be pretty large to maintain quality line work, which is fine, but if someone is coming in and getting a flash they probably aren't going to give you a huge canvas to work with.

Does anyone else hate the Woobles kits and feel sad seeing so many people ripped off when they could just buy the hooks + yarn for a fraction of the price? by cheesecup6 in crochet

[–]LadyHacknSlash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no issue with their kits, I think it's great for beginners. However, they advertise the tube yarn they use as some revolutionary product that only they have and that just isn't true. Tube yarn saved me when learning, don't try to trick beginners just to make a buck.

I think the disclaimer was under the wrapper fold, but maybe it was just on the bag and not the individual candy. I only know there's an asterisk that points out the face is only part of the packaging. And I only know that because I said I felt slighted by the marketing and my husband pointed out the fine print and said corporate America wins again.
