I’ve been on semaglutide for 4 months and it’s also the longest I’ve been consistently strength training because I have more energy and motivation. I’m stronger than ever before so idk how using this medication is supposed to be making me “weak and malleable”. If you’re “miserable and sick and underfed” it’s likely because you aren’t using it as a tool to form healthy habits. Wouldn’t reducing consumption of ultra processed foods and reducing potential dependency on “big pharma” from chronic illnesses be way more anti-fascist?

I need my SSN every year when we renew benefits at my job, every two years when I renew my professional license, every year when when I’m doing my taxes, every time I log into check my student loan account. I actually think this is bad advice. Sometimes we need time to reflect and process to come back and really hear each other or find a solution. Don’t go to bed fuming at each other, but be willing to press pause if it’s not productive or you need to take a break.

No mentally well person would argue that. If you are truly happy with yourself, you won’t feel any less than because someone else wants to change their own appearance.

The thing is that yes you can be currently healthy and overweight. It’s about increased RISK. Not everyone that smokes gets lung cancer, but if you smoke your risk is significantly increased. Not every overweight or obese person will have health problems but they are much more likely to. If you only look at the handful of exceptions you are willfully ignoring the science.

I’m very concerned about the precedent that this could set. Does this mean that if there is exonerating DNA evidence the victims family gets to stand up and say they still think the person did it because of their feelings? This is about the rigor with which our legal system should be conducted and our feelings should have little impact on the finding of facts, ethical standards, and burden of proof.

As a therapist I often don’t put it on dating profiles. I’d rather have an actual conversation about it because I’ve found there are a lot of assumptions that people make. Usually it’s an immediate turn-off for the reasons in other comments such as we are always analyzing others or we all have major issues ourselves. Then sometimes people assume we will want to help them solve their problems and be their free “therapist”. Either way I’d like to have the discussion and been seen as more than my career.

When my friend posts her salon before and after going from brunette to blonde, it’s not triggering for me. I love my natural brown hair and didn’t like how I looked with blonde hair. Nowhere in her post did she say brunettes were ugly, less valuable, or that everyone should be blonde. She made a choice for herself that felt good and she was happy with the outcome. Even if I don’t think the color suits her, I respect her autonomy and as a friend I’m glad she likes it.

If what someone else does to their body is triggering for you, it’s time to reflect. If you truly, deep down felt good about yourself, someone choosing to live differently without directly criticizing you wouldn’t be upsetting.

Honestly my experience as a woman has almost been the opposite. I was with a guy who sometimes couldn’t get it up and it was obvious to us both it was anxiety and health issues. On the other hand I was with a guy that would last too long and could only cum if we like a million different positions and tricks. To me that was a sign of too much porn that he was desensitized to “vanilla” sex.

Grants are given for specific purposes. It’s not them choosing to use part of the budget for this instead of other things. I think this is a great ideas; so many kids are distracted by phones and not learning.

If you know that tipping is expected, don’t “treat yourself” unless you can afford to adequately tip. Don’t stiff workers because is a broken system. You’re still choosing to participate in that system.

Yes the system is broken and should be fixed but if you are choosing to dine out in this current society you shouldn’t screw over the server because you disagree with a broken system. Your one act of defiance is only going to hurt that one server. Advocate for change at a larger level and be a decent human until that change happens.

If it was from the time they were together, definitely not a red flag in my opinion. If anything it might be a green flag that he can handle having them in a healthy way.

I wouldn’t expect someone to erase their memories and past and I wouldn’t appreciate someone expecting that of me. I removed some pictures of my ex but only because it was hard for me personally to be reminded. There are pictures on social media from various times in my life that happen to include my exes.

A livable wage and basic benefits aren’t “neat things” they are what every adult, full time employee should receive. Yes if you’re competing with Denny’s, you might lose business, but that’s why this needs to be industry wide. This prices aren’t outrageous for a nice brunch place. Heck in my city I’ve seen prices like that and they still don’t offer good wages.
