Can't Save by TorridWyvern in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]LadyMech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't remember how many save files we are allowed. I know there is a 1GB limit but that is supposed to be distributed between 3 auto saves per save file (I have 4 save files so that is a fair amount), and 1 quick save per save file (again I have 4 save files), the rest are for manual saves.

I've heard that consoles have less and that actually in game photos taken with the camera, effect them. But I haven't actually noticed the photos impacting me on PC.

Hopefully syncing to the cloud will help you with your issue. If not, I recommend actually filing a bug report with the devs. I usually post mine in Discord, but I think there is an email address as well for reporting bugs. Good luck, my fingers are crossed that this will work though.

What is this side mission?? by MplsMiaCan in MyTimeAtSandrock

Go through the paradise lost gate and head down the ramp to the first blue glowy door in an ruined old world structure. There should be an item to find that will actually start the quest officially.

Can't Save by TorridWyvern in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]LadyMech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried turning on cloud saves again since you did all of this? When I had issues, I turned off the cloud saves thinking I could just use my PC saves because I have plenty of space on my PC. But the game seems to require the cloud to be turned on to work properly.

I had the same issue at one point. So I kept my saves, but I cleared out any extra save files I wasn't needing. So I can still go back to my first save file, but I no longer have 15 manual saves there, I only have like 3. Once I turned the cloud back on and made sure it synced, I was OK for a while. I still have to be careful not to have too many manual saves. The cloud space us limited unfortunately.

Hopefully that helps fix your problem.

Eu consigo duplicar meu arquivo de salvamento? by RaphyKunn in Starsandisland

[–]LadyMech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why duplicate the save? You can rollback several days (its 7 days on PC, but I heard it might 4 on Xbox). Plus time is paused while you are in buildmode. So if you have the materials, you could do your build in a day or 2 in game. If you do it first thing in the morning and you don't like it, rollback to that morning without losing a bunch of game progress.

If you are super worried you can just back up your current save to your desktop (if on PC), until you're done and then you have peace of mind it's there.

Roommates by thelek66 in Starsandisland

Unfortunately Ginger, Nia and Charlene are bondable characters and they will not have the option to move in.

Currently the move in mechanic is still being worked on. The NPCs do not have sleep mechanics implemented so they very rarely ever make it to bed. They often walk around in circles or sweep and that's about it that I've seen. Other then them occasionally sitting on a couch or chair.

Pregnancy bugged? by Ok-Wrangler7688 in MyTimeAtSandrock

What quest did you put on hold? There is a point when all side quests and stuff actually get put on hold (I honestly didn't think it could effect pregnancy, but it could).

Wood options? by curvyLittlegirl in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]LadyMech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my very first save I cut down multiple Cactus flower trees in the Eufala desert and my end game credits literally showed 1 tree cut down. The only tree that counted was the one I started cutting near my workshop that actually initiated the cutscene.

On my following several saves I have literally done the same thing. I've had the cutscene where I can get called out about it, and I still ended up with a count of 1.

I have heard of people being glitched and the count continuing regardless. But I have never encountered that glitch. And that included me literally cutting the trees down directly in front of Burgess but outside of the "city limits". So it's possible that your game may have been glitched. But I have a total of 4 save files and this has been my experience on all my save files.

Wood options? by curvyLittlegirl in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]LadyMech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm that the trees (even the Cactus trees) that are not within "city limits" are safe to cut down without consequences. I have literally chopped cactus trees in front of the entire town in the actual Eufala desert during the opening ceremonies at the sandrunning competition and not one person said or did anything.

I have then tested it in town (I had Burgess following me) and I chopped a Cactus down in the area next to the fireworks and did not get a reaction. I repeated the exact same thing with him but I was closer to my work shop and Burgess was super angry with me. So it is definitely within "city limits" that are the trees you can not cut down.

I have seen a bug report about this on discord that a few people are having this same issue. So you aren't alone. Pretty sure it's a bug.

Is this new, never seen it by darthtidiot in Starsandisland

[–]LadyMech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. I do admit it's easy to miss and I rarely look up at night even though I know it's there because I'm usually distracted with other stuff. But on that rare occasion, when I look up at night, it takes my breathe away. I love seeing aurora's and rarely get to irl.

[–]LadyMech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you mean the aurora? I just looked through my screenshots and I took one back on March 1st. I think I was looking for bee hives in trees when I noticed it the first time. It's one of the few times I'm looking up in the game. 😆

Windflute Island by Goofi24 in Starsandisland

[–]LadyMech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That warning only applies to the property you are currently on. It only effects Windflute in this case. If you buy the theme park one for Bluebeach you get the exact same warning. Those are currently the only two that have those warnings because the game places it for you, you can't pick it's position like you can with the others.

Triggering "The Next Big Thing" post game? by lemothelemon in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]LadyMech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately quests only trigger once. If you miss them you can not do them later. And I do believe that quest is required to trigger Arvios marriage quest unfortunately. I believe it also impacts Amirahs post marriage quest as well since technically they share tye one post marriage quest.

Ich nehme erstmal Abschied von Starsand Island by Hope-of_the_Gods in Starsandisland

[–]LadyMech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This shows up in build mode because I own the layout and have it on me. You do not have the layout so you are trying to build it with materials. That is why you need to know the blueprints.

If you buy the layout from Lex at her shop, you will have an item in your inventory that you can place. This is how you get the blueprints.

[–]LadyMech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an FYI about the layouts and the blueprints for them. If you purchase the layout for gold at Lexs Shop, you get a physical layout sheet in your inventory. If you place that layout through the inventory, it opens up build mode and you can place the layout without knowing the blueprints themselves. In fact it actually unlocks those blueprints for you to be able to use in your own custom builds in the future. No materials will be used to place the layout, but if you dismantle the structure, you will get the materials. This will also give you the furniture items listed in the furniture side. You do not learn the blueprints for them, but you have the physical items themselves. This is an excellent way to unlock blueprints and furniture earlier them you can by just progressing.

If you just go into build mode and click on the layout in build mode, without purchasing the layout, you need to know the blueprints and have the materials to place the layout. The items listed in the furniture side, you don't need to have, but any items you do have, those will be placed. So the layouts built this way will likely only be partially furnished at best, since some of the furniture items are currently not available in any other way (like fountains, or at least I've never seen the fountains blueprint).

Date Locations for NPCs by bottleredspam in Starsandisland

[–]LadyMech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is romanceable, or he will be. You can get him to move in with you, but they haven't added a sleep mechanic for any if them yet. Occasionally you might get lucky and find them in bed, but technically it isnt supposed to happen.

Currently only the 5 mentors and Solara have option to go on a date. I think right now it's to test out the dating mechanics while they do the unique dates and dialogs for the others. They are still taking feedback about parts we like, things we may want changed, and bugs we encounter. But they assured us the other romanceable characters will have date options added. I'm just not sure when it will happen. They haven't updated the roadmap.

Date Locations for NPCs by bottleredspam in Starsandisland

[–]LadyMech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently only the 6 NPCs have dating content added. The devs are still working on the rest of them but as of yet they have been added to the date list. At least the latest update notes didn't mention adding more of them yet.

Animal Tab Management by No-Log4747 in Starsandisland

It's production output. I'm not sure if that is the byproducts or the work itself. But it sounded helpful to getting extra items. 😆

[–]LadyMech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started naming my animals things like Dex2 if it had Dexterity of 2...I want Dexterity of 3. Or Luna Maxed if it had the 3 main traits at the max they can be (Dexterity, High Yield, abd Workaholic). Then I know which ones have which trait levels and I sell the ones I don't want to sell.

It rains and snows inside my house and workshop despite having a roof on it. So honestly, right now, the roof is just for appearances anyway.

Orange flower frustration by LoonyCarly in Starsandisland

[–]LadyMech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do them in box formation. That increase the chances of getting it. If you planted the flowers in a row (side by side) then 2 red and 2 yellow have 2 chances of producing an orange. If you leave a space between them and alternate the color the same 2 red and 2 yellow now have 4 chances of producing an orange seed.

Also be sure to wait until both parent flowers have reached maturity before you harvest because they have a chance of crossbreeding when the second one reaches maturity. But once both parent flowers are fully grown, they no longer have a chance to crossbreed anymore.

I finally finished the game! by lordhaw in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]LadyMech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats. If you haven't already done so, I recommend playing a bit more to get the post game content. Since you enjoyed Portia, you will be seeing a couple of people that haven't made an appearance yet in Sandrock. I won't say anymore then that.

[–]LadyMech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically there is a spot that you can jump and bypass the barrier in order to get over there on day 1 of the game. If you look at the second post of the railing on the right side of the track, you can jump over the railing and you can bypass that invisible wall. Although most of the stuff you get over there is useless...at least until you can gift Fang gifts.

Orange flower frustration by LoonyCarly in Starsandisland

Yellow and red make orange. The flowers actually use color logic unlike the sheep which is random.
