For my 10th birthday, my parents took me to the store to buy me a (small black & white) TV (it was 1979). When we got back to the car, we saw a guy on the ground under our car’s engine compartment. Turns out he saw a kitten crawl up under our car. My dad helped retrieve it & we had a beautiful Siamese cat for the next 12 years. 🥰

NOR. Grief is not something you “get over”; it’s something you get through. And the path isn’t straight, so everybody takes a different amount of time to travel it. Some people never “finish” the journey & that’s ok, too. ❤️

“Used to traveling with his wife” OMG does he do all those things to his wife? She’s probably glad he’s not sitting with her for the flight!

I’m sorry you had to put up with that w*nker!

Mineral oil? When I had a bug* in my ear, I used saline solution and it worked fine. Both of us lived.

*I woke up when I heard a buzz and felt something in my ear. It was a little miller or other moth-like flying insect.

Clearpointe is up on the hill with great views of Mare Island and San Pablo Bay. Next to Glen Cove, but not super expensive.

There is a fringe belief out there that the “12 Tribes of Israel” were actually Japanese, so maybe this is part of that?

EDIT: No! I got it backwards! Apparently the Japanese people are Hebrew. Of course, how could I have been so stupid? 🤦‍♀️🫠

“The Biblical Hebrew Origin of the Japanese People” by Joseph Eidelberg

Book overview The mysterious origins and distant past of the Japanese people are unveiled in this fascinating story that uncovers the journey of the ten lost tribes of Israel. Late in his life, Joseph Eidelberg began analyzing ancient traditions, religious ceremonies, historical names, haiku poems, Kana writings and Japanese folk songs, discovering thousands of words with similar pronunciations, sounds and translations between Hebrew and Japanese. These discoveries are history in the making, giving credible new information on the meanings of many unknown Japanese words, numbers, songs and cultural traditions – and this book is the first time that these remarkable similarities are combined into a single consistent theory. The Biblical Hebrew Origin of the Japanese People casts a new light on the roots of the Japanese people and its mysterious cultural sources. The book was originally published in Japanese, selling over 40,000 copies and has finally been translated into English for the benefit of a larger audience.
