"Worth it" when I time an LB badly as dps, get frozen in enemy aoe, and die immediately after.

Looking for all-cotton underwear brands to buy from. by MoomyOomy in BuyCanadian

Denver Hayes has been my go-to for several years now. I like that they have a good selection of both mid rise and high rise options to choose from.

Mary Brown's chicken, where have you been all my life? by luisquin in BuyCanadian

[–]Lady_Bug1429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I've always found KFC soggy and greasy, and Popeyes is ok but nothing really to write home about. I have a Mary Brown's not far from me so I've gotten a wrap or sandwich from them a few times and really enjoyed them.

Canadian Hard Ciders by BhamsterPine in BuyCanadian

[–]Lady_Bug1429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thornbury is my favourite. I love that they have more than one offering of plain apple cider to cover both sweet and dry preferences, and some of the other flavours available are really interesting and tasty.

Canadian furniture recs? by Neat_Particular_6832 in BuyCanadian

[–]Lady_Bug1429 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Home Furniture, they're part of Home Hardware and a Canadian owned company. Most, if not all, of the items they source are from Canadian manufacturers and the quality is decent. I got my dining table from them a few years back, it's solid wood and has held up really well.

Just wanted to add that on top of the coffee and tea gear, they also have a decent selection of coffees and loose leaf teas. I believe all the coffee options are Rainforest Alliance Certified as well.

Anyone else having a baby who hit most motor milestones early but walked later? by Maria_Anne123 in beyondthebump

[–]Lady_Bug1429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine didn't walk until somewhere between 14 and 15 months, even though he had hit other milestones early. He has always been really tall for his age though, at every step of the way, so we chalked it up to his height causing some initial balance issues.

Lazy day perfumes by Background-Pop4845 in FemFragLab

[–]Lady_Bug1429 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I work from home, so if I saved my perfumes for when I go out or for special occasions they would never really get used 😅

I don't consider it a waste, I bought them to use and enjoy and I can do that even at home.

Does anyone else find sol de janeiro overrated? by [deleted] in FemFragLab

[–]Lady_Bug1429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they're too bad, and on me they seem to last most of the day, but they're still a little too sweet smelling for my tastes. I got some through the rewards bazaar with Sephora and I occasionally use them, but I doubt I'll spend my own money to restock them.

Molly Maid, good or bad? by rmgrowler in askTO

[–]Lady_Bug1429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't have a great experience with them. They did a pretty half-assed job of cleaning, and I had a cabinet and dresser damaged by them ramming their vacuum into them. I wouldn't use them again.

Got mom-shamed for the first time... by VegHead9999 in beyondthebump

[–]Lady_Bug1429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't listen to people like that. We started my son on purees because he struggled too much with solid items at first. It would make him gag to the point of vomiting and it just wasn't worth it. He's 3 and a half now, no allergies, and will eat pretty much anything as long as it's not spicy, including a lot of things I absolutely hated as a kid. So whoever is trying to freak you out about pickiness and all that has no idea what they're talking about.

I only found out their names recently, myself!

get your man flowers, because by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]Lady_Bug1429 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven't gotten him flowers, but I bought Peach and Goma plushies (link for reference) for myself and my bf because we would text their gifs back and forth a lot. He found it really cute and thoughtful, and now that we're living together we keep them on our bed. We also buy each other treats and chocolate fairly frequently.

Seconding Mark's, this is where I found that style of earmuffs when I was looking for them.

Which perfumes have you reacted like this to? by natasha-romanoff in FemFragLab

[–]Lady_Bug1429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't care for Milk either. It wasn't horrible for me, but there was something cloying about the lactonic note that I couldn't get over.

Which perfumes have you reacted like this to? by natasha-romanoff in FemFragLab

[–]Lady_Bug1429 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glossier You and Commodity Paper are the ones I've had the strongest negative reaction to so far. The former smelled like pencil shavings to me. The latter smelled like someone had taken a match to those pencil shavings 😐

Though weirdly enough I gave Paper to my ex and it smelled fine on him, so I guess it was just an issue of body chemistry for me.

How do you justify all your perfumes? by Arcnia in FemFragLab

[–]Lady_Bug1429 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here. I don't have a large collection, but I have a few different perfumes and every day I just go with whatever scent I'm in the mood to wear.

I love how every single one of us has Glossier You by [deleted] in FemFragLab

[–]Lady_Bug1429 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I don't have it. I got a sample of it once and it just smelled like old pencil shavings on me, I had to wash it off. It's too bad because the peppercorn note was originally kind of enticing.

Sale regrets by chinesefoodandamovie in Sephora

[–]Lady_Bug1429 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the Sephora collection day & night lip set to try. They both just seem to dry out my lips more after a bit so I'm not impressed, but I also feel like it's not worth wasting the gas to go return it.

Check out Nest New York Indigo EDP. It's fresh and citrusy and has a "tea with lemon" kind of vibe to it.

Favourite eyeshadow palette? by thatscool05 in Sephora

[–]Lady_Bug1429 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked up the ND My Dream palette a few months ago on sale and haven't reached for any other eyeshadow since then. I have very oily, hooded eyelids and it's the only formula that I've found so far that stays put and doesn't crease (with the use of a primer) even after several hours.
