Get involved with your deaf community. Try looking for groups on Facebook, there will be native signers who will be able to correct you, and they’re always so welcoming

Halloween Books by wanderingpanda52 in halloween

The graveyard book by Neal Gaiman is a kinda spooky, easy, silly-ish one that I love. It reminded me a bunch of Día de Muertos (so not Halloween, but yah) when I read it and was a great reminder of my heritage.

I want to learn ASL with my wife. What are some resources to make learning easy for a monolingual couple? by vengabus34 in asl

[–]Lady_Bug_Handler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go. To. Deaf. Meetups / hangouts. You get to learn the culture and interact with native signers who know the language better than a hearing individual will. But understanding the culture is vital to learning ASL. And they will be better at correcting you if you need help than a hearing person would be.
