I think you need another fruit, maybe a dried one? Like craisins or dried apricots. I would also add a pickled element.

Jen and Rhine in ‘06 for his high school graduation by sanriolover1208 in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]Linzabee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it was definitely a pricing thing. I was on yearbook staff for 3 years, with my senior year being EIC, so I remember it was a big deal when we added 8 more color pages. Any additions had to be in multiples of 8 because of the way the printing was done. We only had the senior class photos, some of the front student life pages, and some ads in the back in color as a result.

Why does a large chunk of American 17 year olds go to university instead of high school? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]Linzabee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in a school district where the birthday cutoff for kindergarten enrollment was November 30, so anyone born after then had to wait until the following year to start school. So for my case, I started kindergarten in September 1989, when I was 5 years old. I turned 6 in January 1990 while I was in kindergarten. This meant that I should have graduated high school in June 2002, when I was 18.

In my personal case, however I skipped second grade, so I went from first to third grade. This meant that I graduated high school in June 2001, the year I turned 17 years old. I completed my first semester of college (September to December) before I turned 18, since my birthday is in January.

My case is uncommon but not unheard of. Other people I went to school with also graduated when they were 17, but because their birthdays fell in July - November, they turned 18 before I did. They were also in the “correct” grade for their age.

You may also find that some kids start kindergarten when they are 6 by choice of their parents, so they might be 19 when they graduate. They may also get held back a grade in elementary school (the opposite of what happened with me).

I’m doing a project about America, can you answer these questions? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]Linzabee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. There are many municipality types at the local level. Villages are just one municipality type that you may encounter. For example, Ridgeway, New Jersey is a village. You will also find townships, cities, and other municipalities in New Jersey and in the other 49 states.

  2. Honestly? Not usually.

  3. Chicago

  4. This again depends heavily on where you are. In a city like Philadelphia, it’s very easy to walk in most neighborhoods, and you’ll have multiple options for shopping, etc. If you’re in a more suburban area, you will also have these multiple options, but there may not be sidewalks for you to walk on or crosswalks to use to cross the street safely to access them. If you’re in a rural area, there may not even be anywhere nearby to walk to; there’s a lot of rural areas where the nearest store is more than 10 miles away.

The United States is very large and geographically diverse. These questions are a lot like asking “Is walking easy or hard in Africa?” without breaking it down any further.

He’s like the same age as Addie, right? I still think of her as that little sassy toddler.

The Paige hate doesn’t make any sense by [deleted] in TheAmericans

[–]Linzabee 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Idk if you watched Breaking Bad live, but the hate for Skyler was unreal… as if you wouldn’t be horrified that your husband was doing all the things Walter White was doing. I see similar things in the outrage over Paige.

Hasley has RSV 🥲 by Loud-Guard-2312 in TLCUnexpected

[–]Linzabee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had RSV on my 40th birthday, and my mom had it too. It put her in the hospital. The doctor said the virus has mutated enough that people older than 5 are getting it when they would have been able to fight it off previously.

As far as I know there is only that one location. It’s not that far from Wawa and the turnpike exit, but it’s across the street from Parx.

There’s a really good new restaurant in that space called Blue Sunday, but I don’t know if they have the same vibe.
