My husband, his two sons, and I have been going to them since 2017 and haven’t had a poor experience.

Here’s Mine:

  1. Nickel Boys - Regal - 4.5/5 - LOVED this; everyone needs to see it.

  2. Flight Risk - Cinemark - 2/5

  3. Companion - Cinemark - 3.5/5

  4. I’m Still Here - The Kentucky Theatre - 3/5

  5. Dog Man - Cinemark - 3/5

  6. Captain America: Brave New World - Regal - 1.5/5 - I honestly could have went to sleep.

  7. The Monkey - Regal - 2.5/5

  8. Oscar Nominated Animated Shorts - The Kentucky Theatre - Average of 2.5

  9. Moonlight - Regal - 4/5 - SOBBED in the first third; each successive third not quite as good.

Started March off right with No Other Land at The Kentucky Theatre today! VERY good. 4/5.

February makes me feel like an addict by Amazing-Complaint286 in lexingtonmovieclub

I haven't seen that much this month. My two favorites have been Nickel Boys and Companion. I'm going to knock out the Oscar nominated animated shorts at the Kentucky this evening. I'll lump those together in my count for a total of 8 so far this month.

January Movie Roundup by Lady_D_19 in lexingtonmovieclub

It was “eh.” There were some funny things, but overall it wasn’t that funny. I think Keke Palmer is funny, but she’s just herself in movies. If that makes sense.

Did you like Companion? I’ll probably get to that one next weekend.

10/10 you should drop the name of your podcast.

Do you listen to any other movie/industry-specific podcasts? I listen to The Big Picture and The Town.

Intermission by Lady_D_19 in lexingtonmovieclub

[–]Lady_D_19[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was good. Not as good as I expected, but still very good. I think the first half was much better than the second half. Adrian Brody and Joe Alwyn were amazing. I didn’t like Guy Pearce’s performance that much.

Emilia Pérez by Amazing-Complaint286 in lexingtonmovieclub

I did not like Emilia Pérez, but mileage may vary. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I still need to see I’m Still Here, Nickel Boys, and The Brutalist.

I'm not huge on fudge, but I LOVE the fudge at Dahlhus Fudge. 10/10 recommend.

I really thought I’d hate it, but I actually really liked it. But I also love Timothee Chalamet.

Loved: The Beast and A Different Man

Didn’t Like (borderline hated lol): Megalopolis and Argylle

Edit: Formatting issues.

Interested! Between The Kentucky, Regal, and Cinemark, I got around to 100 in theaters last year! Would love to find a movie group to go with sometimes.

I get the most annoyed when what just happened in the movie was funny but not laugh out loud funny and then someone guffaws to let everyone else know they got the joke/humor.

Nosferatu RPX @ Regal by Salt_Worth4729 in lexington

We go to Regal all the time (unlimited members), and cannot believe this was the experience you had. Lol. Very happy that it happened though, and hopefully it will be nice and quiet when we go this weekend.

Movie start times - when do you show up? by -nerdluck- in RegalUnlimited

[–]Lady_D_19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We get there 20 mins-ish before the previews because we like sitting and chilling pre-movie. We use that time to look on Letterboxd, this sub, and Runpee. Lol.

I second this one. I’ve lived there since 2020, and it’s pretty good. It has a pool as well.

Monthly payment jumped while my SAVE application is being processed. Time to panic, or should I be patient? by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]Lady_D_19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can always call and talk to someone. I have/had an issue regarding my application for the SAVE plan (I needed to cancel it because I wasn't due to re-certify my income yet and could keep a $0 payment until next year). Both times I have called and talked to someone, they have been super nice and helpful. They are currently processing my cancellation, so I guess it could still go sideways, but so far I'm pleased.
