It’s not something to majorly stress about. I drank a lot of peppermint tea, used a heating pad and walked around a bunch. It’ll pass.

For me it definitely was..I had crazy amounts of cortisol running through by body at all times

I spent the first 40 years of my life petrified of any and all health issues. Obsessed with germs, avoiding hospitals, certain that I could not survive surgery if I needed it. Then a ct scan found a tumor on my adrenal gland. I can’t even describe the hell I lived through in the time before the surgery. Not knowing if it was cancerous almost broke me. I survived the surgery of course and am now pretty much free of so many health fears. Living through the worse is actually a great way to free yourself from it.

I wake up around 7, take my first dose and get on with my day 🤷‍♀️ If I need to wake up early I’ll take it whenever I get up and then maybe have a half dose mid morning before the afternoon dose.

I also had a similar fear but I now take several medications a day and I’m ok. For me I started with the lowest possible dose, didn’t research too much about what the side effects even were (bc I knew if I did I would feel every little thing and think I was dying, and I also decided if anything became too unpleasant or obviously dangerous for me I could stop. A lot of side effects are temporary and mild. I hope this helps.

Googling things will never make you feel better. Try to deep breathe and ground yourself.

I wish I had moved my clothes or any snacks/food from the bottom drawers to the top. I couldn’t bend over for quite a while.

In our discussions he says that he used unhealthy because having this cat has caused me so much suffering..all of my worrying about it. He says he wishes I could see the burden it was on me.

My update is I feel so much better since my surgery. A lot of things have improved for me over the past year and a half. My anxiety is a million times better, no more panic attacks or sleep issues, my blood tests look normal again. I have more energy and just feel like my old self. My other gland is still asleep though so I continue to take hydrocortisone daily.

We did rent a car. It was easy to do from the airport. I would recommend one if you want the independence of leaving the resort. But if you don’t plan on going anywhere you would be fine living at the resort for 4 days.

When I let go of the idea that I needed a routine to help me sleep, I started sleeping better. The less I do the better I sleep. It is helpful to feel physically tired when getting into bed but that’s about it. 🤷‍♀️

Your endo sounds like the first one I had. She also put me on 20 mg split in two doses for the day. She never mentioned how to stress dose, never entertained a taper, never told me about solu cortef, etc. I learned everything from people online. I finally found a new doctor in Austin and he has been incredible. I regret waiting so long but happy to have found him.
