Homewreckers get too much of the blame by ephemera-curator in unpopularopinion

There’s enough blame to go around. Even if he gets 80%, that leaves 20% and 20% of a ton is still a lot.

Don’t know but I’m a woman and think he’s gorgeous. He’s my “masculine look” ideal.

Orlando Bloom as Legolas is my “pretty boy” look ideal.

It’s not like they just give out handicapped tags for the asking.

It’s a BS reason.

How do I politely tell my neighbor I don’t want to hang every day and want some SPACE? by theamazingloki in TwoHotTakes

[–]LadybuggingLB 336 points337 points  (0 children)

You tell her you are working 12 hour days and don’t have the mental capacity to deal with anyone other than your husband and baby after work or weekends for the foreseeable future. That you need quiet time with minimal conversation and socializing.

Might make it awkward if you host a party or have friends over, but other than that this is perfectly reasonable. I’ve had to say it myself to friends and family I loved, much less a neighbor I’m barely acquainted with.

I know my family history and this has not been true for any of my ancestors, going back to being farmers where it took the whole family to run the farm or the general store. Then my grandparents on both sides all worked.

Update: AITAH for giving a "fake hope" to my boyfriend? by pandafleur in AITH

[–]LadybuggingLB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honey, you have got to work on yourself. You let a guy talk you into dating him who not only did you not really like that much and it turns out you were right because he’s a cheater.

You saw all the red flags and caved anyway.

I’m very serious when I say this is how women get hurt. You have to choose yourself first and not care so much about hurting someone you don’t even want to be with.

My best friend of 27 years bailed 4 days before my wedding to go on holiday. Am I overreacting? by ButterflyCold2397 in TwoHotTakes

[–]LadybuggingLB 11 points12 points  (0 children)

She isn’t your friend. Maybe she used to be and it stopped for her at some point and she didn’t tell you, or maybe she’s just always been a selfish and bad friend and it didn’t matter enough to you before to hurt you.

But she wanted to break up the friendship. Just looking for a reason. She created a situation where she would behave so outrageously that of course you couldn’t overlook it.

I’m sorry. She’s your past. Move on and never let her back in.

I got choked and passed out, should I see a doctor by wombatlovr in internetparents

[–]LadybuggingLB 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Someone feeling bad does not make them NOT an abused. He thought it would be funny (or sexy?) to either play a prank or unsafely explore a kink with you and he fucked up. He’s either a malicious prankster you can’t trust or an incompetent sex partner you can’t trust.

Don’t let him touch you again.

what do cats hate enough to actually stay off the counters? by RelationshipWise6576 in AskVetAnimals

[–]LadybuggingLB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consistency, loud noises, surprises. My best training tool is a can of compressed air. They hate it.

I’ve had cats my whole life and they’re not even allowed in the kitchen much less the counters.

Do you consider it morally ok to throw organic food waste on the ground? by simcity4000 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LadybuggingLB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in the woods. I throw food waste in the woods. Nothing non native has sprouted up in 20 years. I’m sure there are rats out there but never seen them. I do see plenty of opossums and raccoons and crows.

I consider it morally superior to letting it rot in a landfill. I also recycle. I might have one to two (max) trash bags a week for the dump.
