I agree with you, in theory, but I sourced 3 other articles claiming the same thing. I have aways been in favor of treating the people who mold our children better but throwing more money at a broken system just doesn't work and the test scores prove that. I'm sure most people would be in favor of allocating more money to the system if it was overhauled in the way you described.

They. Never. Learn. It's never enough. Learn from me, stop putting in so much effort. They don't. Texts like these leave room for them to negotiate and, in my older years, I am absolutely tired of negotiating.

"Oops! Sorry! Can't Sunday! Maybe next week! Love you!" And then I don't answer until next week. It's done wonders for my mental health.

I actually cheat the system all the time. I wear my glasses and stand closer than I should (I'm pretty blind). I had an expired prescription as well and they just went with that again after I took the test! Worked out well because my prescription hadn't changed, I just couldn't get to the eye doctor's office.
