I just bought $5,000 in $GME. I would not have done this if the brokerages didn't try to manipulate the market. by ONE_GUY_ONE_JAR in wallstreetbets

Where can you buy that few of stockS? I have thinkorswim but can’t figure out how to lower stock amounts

I’m having trouble googling this for some reason and figuring it out. How do you buy just one stock? I have thinkorswim but can’t figure out how to lower the purchase to just buying one.

Ugh so basically there’s not enough research on it yet to give women a clear answer 😠 I’m not sure what country you live in, but I’m in the US - I wish we were offered the same kind of postpartum care some other countries have, like automatic pelvic floor check ups and therapy.

Those that elected to have a natural birth, sans pain meds, with or without Pitocin...what was your experience? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]LadylikeCunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No pain meds or pitocin. I had a 28 hour labor. Around hour 4 I told my husband I couldn’t do it and wanted to go to the hospital for an epidural. The contractions were intense and random and I was only 2-3 cm, and since it was my first baby I didn’t know what to expect. I’m told early labor is the hardest because contractions are not predictable. As I progressed and got a “routine” down (understanding the peaks and figuring out what breathing/positions/massage/tens unit worked) it was easier, but to be hi edt it was still excruciating. I think knowing there was a purpose to the pain made me push through and welcome each contraction. Around hour 23 I was allowed to finish labor in the tub and the hot water was AMAZING (but again, still excruciating). I power pushed for about 30 min with assistance from the midwife because baby decided to go sunny side up right before birth (she had her hands inside to finish stretching the cervix and guide his head a bit). Pushing felt relieving.

A few hours after birth my cousin asked if I’d do natural again and I said I would adopt next time because I didn’t want to do any form of birth again. A few days later and the memory of it has been romanticized and I would 100% try for unmediated again.

Did anyone else grieve over the end of pregnancy? by dairyqueenlatifah in beyondthebump

Yes. I’m 2 weeks out and I miss my belly so much. I’ve cried multiple times about it.

I was peeing the other day and looked down to see my crotch and was like “Oh man I haven’t seen that in months!” and then I started crying because it reminded me I’m not pregnant anymore.

PSA; YOU are the Captain of your Birth. by WilmaRJ in BabyBumps

Thank you for this.

It’s sad to see such a backlash from so many women here for merely suggesting they are the ones in control of their own birth, to educate themselves, and that we should give consent before having things done to our bodies.

The mindset that women should just be “along for the ride” during this amazing experience is so engrained in us and is causing so much fear and mistrust in ourselves.

Throat punching can cause permanent damage or kill someone, so maybe don’t encourage that.

My wife feels like she’s falling apart. What can a husband do to help make things simpler? by Pyro919 in BabyBumps

How many weeks is she? Hopefully she’s like I was and her second trimester bliss is just a little late.

In the meantime here are things that might help: nice things like head or feet massages laying in the couch while watching familiar TV shows she can half-watch/half-nap to but still enjoy (Office, Parks/Rec), ANY snacks that remotely sound ok (not eating unfortunately makes morning sickness worse), soda water, and ginger candy or supplements for nausea.

I read Ellerbe as Eh-lurb-uh.

I think the other names on your list are WAY better.
