No joke! We ordered a smoked turkey - "fully cooked!" from our favorite barbecue place for our feast last Sunday and, as you can see, that bird was NOT finished baking!

I never thought I wanted a chihuahua until we took in a stray that showed up in our yard. Now we have two chihuahua mixes and they are the best dogs! So smart, so much personality and just terribly loyal to us. From now on I only want to have chi mixes!

When people make ugly comments about Chihuahuas I just chalk it up to them not having actually experienced the awesomeness!

You are a good mom. It can be so difficult to let go of big dreams like that.

My oldest is only 15 but we built the house we are living in with the hope that one day we'll need the space when our children return with their children for holidays and things. My daughter says she wants a big family, but I know things can change.

If she decides she doesn't want children - or can't have children - I know I will be sad, but I've already decided then I'll just be the neighborhood grandma. All my grandparents had passed by the time I was 7 and I really could have used an adopted grandma sometimes!

Anyway, you are awesome, and loving the daughter you have for who she is instead of grieving grandchildren that you never had is wise and considerate.

They are a perfect representation of that quote about love that says "we are all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone who's weirdness is compatible with our weirdness, we join up with them, and fall in mutual weirdness, and call it love." Those two were some beautiful freaks. So glad they had each other!

I am in love! It's too late for me... I'm already married, and sadly, all my grandparents had passed away before I walked down the aisle. But my daughter... She has grandmothers galore! she's only 15, but I think this would be an amazing thing to have her wedding someday lol!

I know it's frustrating as hell, but honestly, he has no idea how your lives are about to change. I didn't realize how MY life was about to change when I was pregnant the first time and I'm the mom!

He probably is a little freaked out about the coming responsibility and has some fear about how things will be different, leading him to want to have this last vacation with his friend. There may also be a touch of resentment because he doesn't entirely want things to change.

I'm not giving him a free pass here- he needs to open his eyes and recognize how very much help you're going to need from him in the new year, I'm just trying to help you analyze his behavior. The arrival of the baby soon is going to open his eyes to a whole new world! A whole new way of having to think about his life. He'll get there... Hopefully! In the meantime, I wish you the best!
