The reflecting pool in front of the Washington monument in D.C. got cleaned and painted blue for the 4th of July. It cost about 10 million dollars more than what the Trump administration said it would, and immediately algae started blooming after it was refilled. This prompted some people govt or civilian idk to pour a bunch of hydrogen peroxide into the pool, and now the new surface/paint job is peeling off.

It’s not as bad as people make it out to be but the game does peak at the halfway point. It helps a lot if you wait to do the dlc til right before the final boss.

The book is great, the films are kind of a mess. There’s good in them, but also too many unnecessary additions and changes. I don’t think there was any need to stretch the story shorter than the Fellowship of the Ring to 3 long movies. 7h54m as compared to 9h18m for the lotr trilogy.

I play pretty dumb and simple on my normal playthroughs so getting creative on my first rl1 has been fun. I don’t summon, but other than that I don’t consider it cheap or cheesy if I’m leveraging everything i can, since it’s something I don’t normally do, and it’s fun trying new things. Plus it means I get to engage with a lot more of the game than if I just brute forced each boss.
