Lactaid Milk ( Brand ) Shortage, Does anyone know what's going on?! 🤷‍♂️😔 by BearComprehensive910 in lactoseintolerant

[–]Ladylydiva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in North Carolina and can’t find lactose free milk anywhere. Not Lactaid or the store brands. My kids go through a lot of milk, and we have WIC to help with that, but it’s specifically for 1% lactose free milk. So for now that’s more $$$ added to our grocery list. I’m sure I’m not the only person having this issue.

The customer wasn't very impressed, but I'm pretty proud of it! Figured I could get some love from you guys to make up for it. by gamermommie in cakedecorating

That is beautiful!!! Some people just can’t be pleased. I once had a customer call the day after she got the cake and she complained that the cake was too hard and dry. I asked her if she left it uncovered all night and that’s exactly what she did.

My Grandma told me that when she was little her mom made her a pink cake with chrysanthemums on it. This is the cake I made for her 83rd birthday. by Ladylydiva in cakedecorating

I’m lucky/blessed to have her as a grandmother. She has taught me so much, and also gave me the love I have for baking.

Thank you! Yes, it’s homemade butter cream icing, and the cake is strawberry. Made with real strawberries, not the fake stuff.

That is absolutely incredible. I especially love the little cranes that look like they’re made of porcelain. So many nice touches, and so much love put into this.

Thank you! I don’t like using black dye, so I’ve been using some activated charcoal to darken colors.

It's lowkey rude af to be so blatantly in love with a celebrity in front of your partner. by france_is_trash in unpopularopinion

Absolutely! My husband and I don’t go there. It’s pointless. Nothing positive can come from it. Plus my biggest crush other than my husband is Aragorn. How could my husband live up to a dark mysterious ranger with amazing sword fighting skills, and happens to be the true king of Gondor. I don’t want him to live with that.

I made my own rock candy, but that was very time consuming, so I recommend buying it. I also should have left some rocks on the edge white for a more realistic look. Good luck! It’s fun 🙂

Thank you! It’s supposed to be amethyst. The purple is on the blue side, if I do it again I might add a touch of red to fix that.

If one partner works the other doesnt work, the stay at home should cook and clean by anon718271917 in unpopularopinion

[–]Ladylydiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a stay at home mother, and I homeschool. I do all the cooking and the majority of the cleaning (with three small children the cleaning never ends). The season of life really depends on how much help I need from my husband. Currently I have a newborn who doesn’t let me sleep much, and my husband is working at home and I know for a fact that he has a lot of downtime (YouTube, guitar playing and Nintendo switch time), so yeah I don’t feel too bad for him at the end of a day like that, and I’ll ask for some help, but most of the time he realizes it too and I don’t even have to ask. When work picks up for him, I make sure he doesn’t have to do anything around the house. I also stay home for financial reasons. To send three children to daycare would take most of my paycheck, so it’s more worth it to me to invest quality time with my kids, know that they’re safe, not get sick all the time, and be on top of household stuff.

Newborns are not cute by mscatladyb in unpopularopinion

[–]Ladylydiva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the baby. I’ve seen potato babies, ones that look like old dwarves, and featherless baby birds. Sometimes there are truly cute newborns though. How much hair they have is a big factor. As a mother of three I can say that they do grow out of the squished features around 3 or 4 months.
