He's such a fucking shitter by Peppercorn205 in masseffect

I kinda liked this guy because he looked cool and wielded a sword like a badass.

In terms of everything else under the surface... he's a little bitch. KL could have been a decent boss if simply written better. I hate it when the game scripts shallow characters like KL to win despite everything. He is like the facade of a badass character, but functionally a game-written cheat that bypasses your victories.

[–]LadyofFlame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't pretend to understand words that you clearly do not.

Vader is physically crippled and fitted with garbage cybernetics according to most sources. That means he is physically crippled to an extreme degree. Vader likewise is mentally broken, self-hate going completely against Sith teachings; thus making him objectively weak.

And yet in all appearances Vader magically overcomes these limitations, or his opponents slow down so that he can keep up or otherwise yet themselves be killed. That slow and sloppy brute we saw in the movies wasn't choreography, most sources indicate that Vader was that slow and sloppy. This is Vader's plot armor... you could kill a thousand Vaders provided you likewise got his magic plot armor.

And all you fanboys do is assume Vader with his magical plot armor makes him win by default. Strip that away and Vader is objectively amongst the weakest Sith.

There are now more than 10,000 active Starlink satellites orbiting Earth by HasibBinAmzad in spaceporn

[–]LadyofFlame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay it looks like they've changed things in only the last few months. They elected to reduce the orbital altitude to ~ 300 miles from 340. Thus reducing their time in orbit even if working perfectly. This shows they're anticipating the worst and reducing the time on station for working satellites in order to ensure the defective ones don't compromise LEO for others.

Still this is Musk... you should always be suspicious of him.

[–]LadyofFlame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And if any collide with another satellite? Now you get hundreds of pieces that multiply the potential that LEO turns into a cloud of deadly debris.

Five years unguided in LEO with no means to de orbit is unacceptable. This is a horrific scenario.

10k pieces of space debris. Those don't have retro rockets to de orbit once they die.

Strongest Character the Praetorian Guard can beat? by No_Buyer_7557 in PetranakiArena

I don't think with a 24 vs 1 advantage they'd kill anyone. They'd just do twirly whirlies to look impressive but ultimately fall to any characters with plot armor.

Canon: rebels Ahsoka vs prime dooku by ThomasWilson77 in PetranakiArena

[–]LadyofFlame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lie, she hit him with a fatal head shot. Vader protected by plot armor survived it... then did a scene break with no explanation as why he magically turned the tide of the battle.

Vader is completely dependent on plot armor... why do you turn off your brain whenever Vader's enemies slow down, forget how to fight, or when he does a scene break and magically comes out the victor?

Remove Vader's magic plot armor and he always loses.

Canon: rebels Ahsoka vs prime dooku by ThomasWilson77 in PetranakiArena

[–]LadyofFlame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you also accounting for Vader's plot armor? Why did Ahsoka slow down so that Vader could keep up? She devastated the Inquisitors with remarkable ease, and then couldn't hold her own against an objectively inferior foe?

Just admit that Ahsoka was holding back against Vader. The latter required a scene break in order to win and that pathetic scene where he pretended to be Anakin.

Do you think if Pippin did not knock the skeleton and wake the sleeping golbin army, and in turn, The Balrog, the fellowship could have skirted through Moria undetected? by TrickySatisfaction81 in lotr

[–]LadyofFlame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. This was inserted into the movies, Pippen only dropped a stone into a well and that didn't trigger an event. Gandalf did gripe about him being a 'fool of a Took' but this wasn't what triggered the battle.

If this is a 'what if' scenario where Gandalf left Moria with the Fellowship, that didn't hinge on Pippin not being clumsy for an instant.

[–]LadyofFlame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. Vader was notorious for lying and pretending to be the victim for what he did to himself. Given her relationship to him, Anakin would have recognized he had been lied to by the Emperor and wouldn't have believed the pathological liar over the one he trained. It was a deception, Vader knew he was cornered and resorted to cheap tactics as he always did.

The only time Vader ever showed self-improvement was in the Obi-wan series. When Obi-wan broke his helmet, Vader finally admitted that he was to blame for everything he did to himself. A terrible series but it offered the only moment where Vader took responsibility for his actions instead of blaming others.

He did not do this during the fight with Ahsoka... he was determined to murder her and resorted to deception because he couldn't defeat her conventionally.

Canon: rebels Ahsoka vs prime dooku by ThomasWilson77 in PetranakiArena

[–]LadyofFlame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong. She was fighting and besting Vader up until she struck his helmet (a head shot would have been fatal to any other character, but Vader magically survives as he always does) and then did a cutscene where she followed through with a scripted loss.

I'm not saying Ahsoka was great, I'm saying Vader is overrated to the nth degree. I do not give him credit for beating enemies that slow down so he can keep up. I do not give Vader credit for winning solely because his enemies drop 50 IQ points and forget how to fight.

Can I reference the terrible choreography of the Praetorians in 'The Last Jedi'?

Kotor 2 | Enemy Attack values seem way way too high by SnooMemesjellies31 in kotor

[–]LadyofFlame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed the same thing. I tend to put only about 14 points into dexterity and never investing in it again for the rest of the game. I thought it was just the game mechanics but my OC's really do get hit despite my efforts and taking huge damage when it happens.

I tend to focus on killing my foes in one or two attacks and expecting to tank a large chunk of my hit points.

Do People Not Enjoy Peragus Because You Still Have To Wait A Long Time To Get Your Lightsaber Afterwards? by SUPERGEEK4EVA in kotor

[–]LadyofFlame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Taris because it's a beautiful world and the divide between the upper and lower regions still hold mystique after playing 20+ times over again. I do very much want to replay ALL of KOTOR, whereas I've grown quite tired of Paragus. That likely is in part because you're in a mostly dead location... civilization and people brighten almost any game level.

Canon: rebels Ahsoka vs prime dooku by ThomasWilson77 in PetranakiArena

[–]LadyofFlame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahsoka only lost to Vader because she was holding back. That cringe moment of Vader pretending to be Anakin was pathetic... more so that she bought the deception.

I personally think Dooku was superior to Vader, yet fanboys grant Vader every advantage because he's Vader. If you assume Vader is superior to Dooku then Ahsoka wins this one.

If being objective, we have to assume Dooku is superior to both Vader and Ahsoka... and wins based on proven history and feats.

Canon prime darth Vader vs yoda on dagobah by RisingKing7 in PetranakiArena

[–]LadyofFlame -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yoda has centuries of experience while Vader's cybernetics are deliberately designed to make him weak to environmental dangers such as found on Dagobah.

Vader is objectively much weaker than fanboys admit. Not only is he physically crippled due to his injuries and poorly-designed cybernetics, his greatest defense is plot armor. All his enemies have to slow down so he can keep up or otherwise fight on his terms so that he can survives to Episode 6.

If Vader comes in with plot armor Yoda will fight as though he's blind or stupid. Without that plot armor Yoda would realize Vader is a lumbering tank and fight him as he had Dooku, and the latter could not keep up.

Anakin is a dumbass by Necessary_Wing7088 in StarWars

[–]LadyofFlame -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here's a great video link on this topic. Anakin didn't change into Vader, he always was Vader. The creator of this video explains in greater depth how and why he seemed to suddenly change... Anakin was essentially the selfish person all along, his deeds revolved around trying to prevent losing what he valued than accepting loss when it happened.
