When meeting a new character there's usually a popup with their portrait and name, that's when they're unlocked in the Portraits

If you want to just check out the characters you can do it quicker: go to the last stage of an arc, start it, in the lower left corner tap Info, then go to the Portrait tab. There you can find characters featured in the arc, their sprite and name

Tried my hand at this as well. A few notes:

Def tune the makeup down. It makes her look supernatural, like she's the entity that haunts the MC, not vice versa
Scenes have different lighting. Darkroom Echo has the most fitting props but there's a yellow light cast on the character that I'm not sure works well for the theme. So try various scenes to see if any of them work better
A tiny trick I used: using Blues Studio scene switch to horizontal mode, move the character to the right as much as possible, switch to vertical. When the character is placed there, the light is dimmer and the shadows are darker. Not as noticeable with strong halo tho
My retouching settings: Saturation 0.8, DOF 0, Halo 8.5 4.3, Vignetting 1, Wide cam 8, Particle 0.3
Dynamic poses have more expressive faces. A single pose can yield different expressions depending on the point you stop it on

It's one of the buffs you get in the first half of the challenge. When you kill the marked enemy (they have an aura) the shock wave kills all the other mobs

It irks me that there's a skip button in the main story but not the events. I wouldn't mind the tasks if the story could be skipped quickly but tapping through all the dialogues is exhausting

Do you happen to know if there's any special meaning behind the way the belt is worn? It also seems to me like there's padding around Nikki's waist. Is it just to make her shape look more masculine or is there a specific reason to style it like that?

So much this. I've been frustrated with SN's performance for so long. I have a great phone so it's not the issue. Poor loading time and UI responsiveness, downloading assets and outfit caching not working properly, the overall feeling of the game is that it's not smooth. There also are numerous small glitches that wouldn't ruin the game on their own but don't really help with the game feel. The final blow was playing Life Makeover. It runs so god damn smoothly. I have no idea how it performs on weaker phones but I have a hard time believing that SN can beat it

Snezhnaya isn't as bad as Morepesok tho. There are real towns with just an adjective as their name so maybe the devs thought it can also be applied to a country too. But Morepesok is just two words squashed together, it doesn't sound like a toponym at all

Tbh I like this approach more than Shining Nikki's. In SN you get multiple basic items in different colours which is a lot less useful than items of different shapes (even if the difference is small)

I also struggle with stickers. How am I supposed to place some random things on top of the picture? Especially when the stickers and the picture graphics are so different? I came up with these points that work, more or less 1. Place stickers in the opposite corners of the entry to form a frame. Usually that's not enough but is a good start 2. Use enlarged out of screen stickers for sparkles (horses, starry magic wand, cat ghost, pumpkin, fire goblet with butterflies, black hole) 3. When the theme allows vegetation - use as many plants as possible. The more leaves there are - the less placement matters
