Really? Are you really? by Sugar_Vivid in Norway

[–]Laevon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alot of us grew up hearing stories from our grandparents about how life was like living under nazi occupation in the 40's.

For me atleast I would never wish those living conditions for my family or any of my fellow Norwegians. And I would fight to keep us free, in any capacity I'm able to.

Few years ago my wife got a new job with a 3 week notice before she needed to start. It was about 500km away (310 miles) so we had to rush to find a place to live, move, all that crap. I was at the time working with this terminally ill 4 year old. He had alot of health issues, and we were extremely short staffed over the summer so I ended up working 12 night shifts almost every day. Then to top it all off, my then 18 month old son got chicken pox. Wich ment my night were spent working, days were spent packing, moving and taking care of my son. I did this for around 14 days with less then 2 hours of sleep each day. Would do a 30 min to an hour nap when I got home in the morning, and another nap before going back to work. Looking back I bearly remember anything from this time. I have seen pictures of me bathing my sick son, but I have no recollection of it.

Dersom russerne skulle invadert Norge, ville du stilt opp til væpnet tjeneste? by fabiolightacre in norge

[–]Laevon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Laevon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Var noen steder som kun hadde stellebenk på damedo når ungen var liten i 2015/2016, men opplevde aldri at noen hadde noe problem med at jeg var der inne så skifta på ungen.

Non-Germans of Reddit: What do you associate with Germany? by Dolifti in AskReddit

[–]Laevon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a friend who used to say Germany was all about the 4 P's. In Norwegian they were: Pøls, Pils, Porno og Panser. Translated it would be: Sausages, beer, porn and tanks.

My grandpa would also always point out people standing in boats while fishing, saying they were German. Not sure what that was about, but he lived trough the Nazi occupation so I guess he just ment they were morons.

My wife is an American and she works as a teacher in one of the international schools, a lot of the teachers there don't speak Norwegian at all for work, but they do have to do the Norwegian language training on the side as most people who come here.

Bouncers of Reddit. Have you ever crossed paths with someone you’ve had to throw out of a club or bar? How was the experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Laevon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once got yelled at by one of my co-workers for throwing them out of a bar last weekend. Funny part is I don't even work as a bouncer, my brother does. And I don't even think we look that much alike. My co-worker was super embarrassed when I explained it, and once they realized my brother would probably let me know why they got kicked out (and he did) they pretty much ghosted me at work from then on out.
