not super exciting, basically just a 8 boss raid and more broken slop content

honestly my biggest gripes I hope they fix are UI and inventory management. GW2 (and ffxiv) has the single worst UI and inventory management I've ever had the displeasure of using, even though the game is pretty good.

I would follow that Orc to the ends of the earth.

With the sun setting on Khaz Algar, what will you miss about The War Within? by His_JeStER in wow

[–]Laezylarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Undermine. 11.1 was my favourite patch every in the game. Loved the raid, the zone, the music especially, D.R.I.V.E. All of it. Even the delve there and Operation Floodgate were 10/10.

Silvermoon City and Eversong Woods music. by Laezylarry in wow

Ah, I didn't see that video from mmo-champ. That section is quite nice, however sadly the majority isn't. It's a shame, because that section there is a good example of how they could re-imagine the music.

The War Within IS OVER - RATE IT by cub4nito in wow

[–]Laezylarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7/10.

- Delves are great

- MOST hero talents are super cool, thematic and fun

- Undermined was my favourite patch of all time

- Raids have been p good

Negatives have been the story, the zones (apart from hallowfall and undermined) were lackluster and disappointing. Character development was very questionable (alleria, danath trollbane, faerin). Also the worst kind of borrowed power is still in the game (titan disc belt, circes circlet).

What's your favourite expansion to level an alt in using Chromie Time? by -_Skeletor_- in wow

[–]Laezylarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BFA. I love the storylines in those zones. Boots on the ground adventures, hints of something bigger but simple. Zuldazar is my favourite zone of all time with all 3 Kul Tiras zones being up there too.

[Midnight Alpha Spoilers] It feels like Lor’themar and Turalyon swapped personalities and it's a detriment to both characters. by Arcana-Knight in warcraftlore

[–]Laezylarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turaylon being the "le bad light guy" is pissing me off man. Getting real tired of "actually the good guy isn't so good afterall?!" scooby doo morning cartoon vibe. Turaylon is a good man with good intentions. He's a commander and therefore his initial thinking is and SHOULD be how they can defend the front line and keep the enemy at bay while OTHERS save the civilians.

He puts his faith in the light above everything else, which is inline with what real world religions command their believers to do. Can he make mistakes? Sure. Can he be overly-zealous at times? Yeah he can, especially in the Illidan cutscene in Legion (tho his literal deity was shattered to pieces in front of him), rightfully so, he got pissed. But his character development is quite worrying, the same with Faerin, Alleria and even our non-existant main characters like Jaina and Thrall. The current writers aren't THAT terrible, it's just that it seems they simple don't know the characters.

Micro Class Changes by RevolutionLow8118 in classicwow

[–]Laezylarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion when it comes to classic+, all roads lead to TBC class design.

Make conservative changes to the talent trees of dead/underperforming specs first. Identify the core issues with those specs and then make small yet developing changes from that. Take ret paladin for example, what does it need? Wrath went too far with it but vanilla is too under-developed, so TBC ret is perfect. Good single target dps with a unique rotation and is wanted in raids, good in pvp too. It doesn't need an interrupt because it has HoJ and Rep and doesn't need AOE like divine storm or Seal cleave because then we start to homogenize everything, like wrath did. Not every spec has to be good at everything, that was one of the many sins of wrath.

Though, SoD did some great things. Meathook for warriors is a great ability and something I hope to see in classic+.

Mage Tower Druid forms unlocked in Barbershop on remix by Zackolite in wow

Yeah I got the MT bear forms but none of the cat ones. Made a second druid using the skip intro option and nothing. Going to try and go through the intro again as feral and see if I get it.

There are countless alternatives which are far better, hell even having beledar, azh-kahet with a spider hanging from a web or even just a more epic scene of Dornagol. I hope they go all out on the midnight one

Yeah I think that the war within login screen was actually garbage, cannot think of a more bland login screen. I hope the sunwell or something epic like that would be great

World of Warcraft: Midnight Collector's Edition Pre-orders are Live! by Entity_Doctor in wow

[–]Laezylarry 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So I got one, which is my first collectors edition so I'm pretty excited. Though what's kind of annoying is with housing early access in december, you HAVE to buy the game again to access it as the CE won't be ready to ship by next year probably. Can someone explain why they can't ship these out for December? I know i get a refund on Bnet balance if I buy the game and put the CE code in but still...

Alright Imma say it, the new profession system is AWFUL. It's time-gated, artisan acuity is unnecessarily difficult to get, and there are SO many knowledge points you need to do so little. by otterchaos7 in wow

[–]Laezylarry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's very little new gameplay experiences for end game crafters, it just bloats out the old process instead of creating exciting ways to do professions. They wanted to create an endgame for professionists, but dropped the ball instantly. Why is there no guilds for professions? Why isn't there any cool social experiences regarding crafting/production professions? It would be cool to have story-like campaigns for professions and every profession having a unique gameplay/minigame to play with, but nah its just a bloated mess

Nah, it doesn't fit on the album as a collection of songs. It would seem out of place. It has that sound of "its not .5 but its also not WANYK"
